“Mommy! I need the binoculars. There’s a Pileated woodpecker I want to see!”
By the time he got them, the woodpecker flew away.
But I told him to sit awhile and be still. There are probably lots of other things out there to observe that we don’t notice. And within minutes he found a birds nest in a tree and lots of other neat things.
Yes. Sit, be still. Slow down. There’s so much going on in the world around us that we don’t appreciate because we’re too busy to see.
Take some time to be still and to observe. You may find beauty and little treasures that have been there all along.
We made it to Friday! Woohoo! And that means NEW PODCAST EPISODE IS UP! 🎙
"Today I am sitting down in the midst of a snow storm, to chat about practical tips for living a simple life in the new year. I am not trying to sell you the newest organization method or tell you to make resolutions, but I am sharing realistic ways to make simple changes for a simple life, and ultimately focus on Jesus above all else!"

Keeping those summer holiday vibes going strong with @pimmsaustralia. Technically I’m back at work this week, but I’m easing into things, working from the coast with my laptop and Pimms in hand. Happy Friday friends! #pimmsphotoclassic
Ok. I have never ever seen so much emotion on my page after announcing I had never been to Chik-Fil-A until today! Or Hobby Lobby! 🤣
Here is my super fun purchase (six bucks!!) from @hobbylobby ! A COW BELL! It rings! I felt @loves_farm needed this! 😆
#schoolbell ? #supperbell ? #justforfun#enjoythesimple
"On every world, wherever people are, in the deepest part of the winter, at the exact midpoint, everybody stops, and turns, and hugs, as if to say "Well done. Well done, everyone! We're halfway out of the dark.""
Take some time out of the hustle and bustle of the season. To be still and know...
Great reminder @simplylivingforhim

It’s Friday! New podcast is up! 🎙
“Anyone who knows me knows that I do not like to be too busy. I enjoy the simple and slow living, but even for me, it is easy to get caught up in rushing through each day and before we know it a day leads to a year and a year leads to years.
And we ask, “Where did the time go?” Our life purpose is to glorify God and that means doing so in each moment. Satan wants nothing more than for us to be distracted by the busy so we can’t hear Jesus’s voice. In a world that is obsessed with hustle, I am encouraging you to listen to His voice and do not conform to the world (Romans 12:2). Live in His timing, not the world’s.”
