I think of all the inspirational quotes I post, this is probably the toughest, the hardest, the most important...it's not inspiring, it's sad. Disgusting. Disappointing. Terrifying.
It's the one that has lead me to empower, motivate, support & rebuild confidence. It's the one that casts a shadow over me, the one I have to find strength everyday to overcome. But without standing together & raising awareness, it will continue. So teach your children to be respectful of all others. No one should be subjected to sexual abuse, harassment, violence. How dare anyone think it gives them power.
They are nothing.
Real talk. My heart hurts looking at the amount of status updates with #metoo . This type of thing has been going on for far too long. Some victims have carried these secrets with them for most of their lives which has serious psychological impact. Some people want to blame the victims for holding it in but until you've been in those shoes you don't have the right to make any comment outside of "I'm sorry you had to go through that." This is my truth.
I was propositioned by the local convenience store owner when I was 10. An employer who also happened to be my Chiropractor assaulted me (disguised as treatment) when I was 20. A friend's father groped me while I was sleeping when I was 16. I have quite literally had my crotch grabbed in bars numerous times throughout my 20s. None of these men were held responsible for their actions and maybe that's my fault.
Maybe this is TMI and I may later regret it. Some may feel it's inappropriate to put this on social media but you know what? It needs to be said because far too many girls, boys, women and men are afraid to speak up, just like I was. Please know you are not alone.
Words of truth from @rupikaur_ posted by Natasha @nourishmelbourne this morning. So refreshing to see posts in my feed that add value to my over thinking mindset. As Tash says, enough already with all the ‘summer body’ talk. It’s summer. And you have a body. #truth#enoughalready#rupikaur
In the beginning of September I decided to do a month of the Miracle Morning. I need structure, consistency, and organization and this helped me with all of that. Not to mention I accomplished a lot more getting up that extra hour and I decided to continue it.
He has a whole routine he breaks down called SAVERS. Keeps you on track and not squirrelly like I tend to be.
I am beyond thrilled sitting here listening to an exclusive interview with the author. Just learning more tips and strategies for a better life.
His story is Amazing. Car accidents where he had to be brought back to life, debt most people couldn't rise above, and now he's battling a rare form of cancer. Talk about Inspiring!!
I highly recommend this book and to try and start implementing the Miracle Morning into your own life.
