Was playing with a Canon 5d mk3 yesterday borrowed from a friend that was running Magic Lantern software. Mainly to unlock the continous record limit and to give me focus peaking, Audio meters, focus assist ON and OFF while recording, Histogram. I'm also using the Canon 24-70mm L series f2.8 lens. A nice package indeed and I like the 5D3 lots, But still I wouldn't buy one as the steep price just to get those basic video features I don't think its worth it, when these features have been comon place in Panasonic and Sony SLRs for years. I'm more likely to scoop up a Canon 7D mk1 for under £400 to shoot raw video and all the other Magic Lantern features. The 7D mk1 has a smaller sensor, but it's still good enough for me.
