Gimli, son of Gloin.
Gimli was 60 when the dwarves of Erebor set off to reclaim the mountain. They deemed Gimli too young to go, so he was left behind.
In the Third Age, a messenger from Mordor came to Erebor asking about a hobbit with the Ring.
Dain II didn’t want to endanger Bilbo so he sent the messenger away and sent Gloin and Gimli to Elrond to seek advice.
They were summoned to the Council of Elrond, where Frodo was chosen to be the ring bearer.
Gimli volunteered to join, especially after Legolas volunteered, for he was wary of Legolas’s intentions.
While trying to pass through Caradhras, it was Gimli that suggested to go through the Mines of Moria, for he wanted to see what happened to Balin, and then discovered Balin’s tomb, confirming he was dead.
Gimli was the first dwarf to enter Lothlorien since the awakening of Durin’s Bane.
The elves told him to be blindfolded but he refused until Aragorn settled the dispute, allowing all of the Fellowship to be blindfolded.
In Lothlorien, Gimli often walked through the city with Legolas, surprising the Fellowship.
At the Fellowship’s departure, Gimli asked for a strand of Galadriel’s hair, and she gave him 3. (in your face Fëanor hehe)
When the Fellowship broke, Gimli joined Aragorn and Legolas to rescue Merry and Pippin.
The three were reunited with Gandalf.
Gimli was separated from Aragorn and Legolas during the Battle of Helms Deep, and fought in the Glittering Caves alongside Eomer, and also saved Eomer’s life later in the battle.
Gimli won the orc killing contest between him a Legolas by one.
Gimli accompanied Aragorn and Legolas into Dimholt to find the Army of the Dead, and then later took over the Corsair’s ships.
After the win at the Battle of Pelennor Fields, Gimli went with the armies of Gondor and Rohan to the Black Gate.
After the War, Gimli became Lord of the Glittering Caves, and restored much of the damage done to it and also helped build a gate for Gondor out of Mithril.
Gimli then departed Middle Earth with Legolas, making him the first dwarf to sail to the Undying Lands.

"Before him lies the great
bottom-most cellar or dungeon-hall of the
ancient dwarves right at the Mountain’s root. It
is almost dark so that its vastness can only be
dimly guessed, but rising from the near side of
the rocky floor there is a great glow. The glow of Smaug!
There he lay, a vast red-golden dragon, fast
asleep; a thrumming came from his jaws and
nostrils, and wisps of smoke, but his fires were
low in slumber. Beneath him, under all his limbs
and his huge coiled tail, and about him on all
sides stretching away across the unseen floors,
lay countless piles of precious things, gold
wrought and unwrought, gems and jewels, and
silver red-stained in the ruddy light.
Smaug lay, with wings folded like an
immeasurable bat, turned partly on one side, so
that the hobbit could see his underparts and his
long pale belly crusted with gems and
fragments of gold from his long lying on his

Hi dears! tomorrow is Miranda Otto's 50th birthday(yay !) 🎂🎆 I've been occupied with making edits for that very occasion😃I will try to make fresh Tolkien edit as soon as possible. Meanwhile one of ny very best rectangle edits turned to square. Stunning and heart-breaking scene. Spectacular as well.
Now Weinstein scandal circled to Lord of The Rings times. As we know Harvey and Bob were LotR producers. In recent interview with stuff.co.nz Peter Jackson has said that nearly 20 years ago actresses Ashley Judd and Mira Sorvino were considered for LotR roles but Weinstein producing company bad mouthed them by labeling them as very hard to work with and as result Peter and his team crossed them off the casting list. At that time Peter had no reason to not trust Harvey's word and no idea that black listing was a result of Harvey Weinstein's revenge on Ashley and Mira for turning down his sexual advances (Ashley escaped from the hotel room in 1996 if I recall her interview correctly😱 )
So, same base design just two different ways/items. A can Koozie and a 2" double-snap bracelet. (It's the 7th Dwarvish Kingdom -the Arkenstone and symbol of Erebor). The other was an old (early on) Oak inspired design where I'd purchased some new tools and wanted to try them out😆. Anyway, hopefully I'll have my Etsy page open here soon (stuck with coming up with a store name 😕🤔 Any ideas? Help!!!!) But items like these, coasters, pouches, bracers, keychains and really anything else you can think of, or would like, will be availableas soon as I can get that up and running. Don't see what you're into or want something personalized? Hit me up and we'll make it happen. #leathercraft#leatherkoozie#leatherbracelet#thehobbit#erebor#oakenshield#oak
