SWIPE FOR CLOSE UP! BBQ 'chicken' pizza 🍕 managed to get my hands on some of the @lidluk vegan chicken pieces, fried them in BBQ sauce and used them to top my pizza. Cheese is a mix of @violife_foods pizza cheese and @tescofood grated mozzarella. Amazing pizza. Wish Lidl would make these a permanent feature as they are pretty versatile and I'd love a chance to experiment #AnotherDayEatingNothingButGrass#VeganProblems
If you know, you know, but if not, @oatly are looking after us all even more, by bringing out the mother of all winter warmers...Oatly Chai!! We honestly couldn't be more excited, not just because we have about 30 of everything that Oatly make at all times, but also because chai is one of our all-time fave drinks. Thanks Oatly. We 💜 you! #wownocow

There is something magical about the mountains.
A few years ago, I was so depressed I was certain I would never feel happiness again.
But here I am, with two great kids, a loving husband, living closer to my parents, two finished degrees, and the opportunity to live every free moment in this beautiful place.
If you are feeling down, go to the mountains! All the medication in the world won't work better than time spent in nature. :)
Buon pomeriggio e buon pranzo ragazze!
Anyone else feel the disappointment from family and friends when owning up to the 'v' word? 😂
The nice thing is that as time has passed the attitudes have started to change - but it hasn't been easy... There have been tears, tantrums and fall outs along the way.
I blame this well and truly on the combination of guilt and cognitive dissonance. No one likes to have their choices questioned yet when veganism is mentioned that is what so often happens. Especially when eating animal products is often a passive habit rather than an active choice so guilt leads to defensiveness. But it's so worth persevering with - on both sides. Keep having those conversations, keep exploring your responses and reactions to everything that cause you discomfort.
The recent attacks in Barcelona and Charlottesville really got me thinking about something Gandhi once said. He said that "you must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty". I want to scream the concept of this loud enough for the world to hear. 1 person doesn't represent a community. The actions of a handful of people do not reflect those of an entire faith. Yes, this had been said hundreds of times before but I don't think it can be said enough. As Gandhi said, faith in humanity should not be lost. We need to take these events and respond to them with peace and solidarity with the faith in each other that this can be done. People shouldn't be made to suffer because of their skin colour. Families shouldn't have live in fear because of their religion. Peaceful members of the town of Charlottesville shouldn't now have to live with the knowledge that their home will be associated with intolerance and violence because of last week's hatred. I'm not entirely sure that I am still making any sense and have completely lost my trail but there are just so many emotions: confusion, disappointment, anger, sadness, dismay. Why are we still blaming those in a lower position of power for the world's problems? Why is it still apparent that race, ethnicity and religion are deciding factors in how people are treated, the education they can access, the jobs they can get and worst of all how safe they can feel living their lives? It's disgraceful. Thank you to people like @ibzmo, @tatikapaya, @violahelen_ and @_courtneydaniella for being excellent, confident and proud role models for ethnic minority young people who may feel particularly small in a world that seems to be working against them ❤❤❤
Saturday night with lentil bolognese and a Leo film.. what more could you ask for 🍝 😎 ps for this is in the link in my bio. It's one of our go-to meals in my house and for good reason - it's hearty, healthy and simple!
@lifeofgoodness_ showing us how it's done! We've started to make the move to zero waste, so this is what our kitchen is starting to look like too and we LOVE IT. Anyone else enjoy that feeling of not needing to label your jars anymore or write cooking instructions on them? That's when you know you're a seasoned vegan!
I am in love with the Turkish food here!
I should be jet lagged - having returned from the USA a few days' ago - yet with the combination of fresh food (& 100% plant-based) and the weather, I'm up at 0600 ready to create my day!
Sweet potato rounds are just as good as an accompaniment to chilli as nachos are, am i right? 😜🌶 This is my favourite recipe for chilli, made with soya mince for extra plant protein 💪🏻 I'll share the recipe soon on my blog! Topped with homemade guacamole + soya yoghurt 'sour cream' 🥑
1 Corinthians 6:19. "Do you not know that your body is the temple of The Spirit of Holiness who dwells within you, whom you have received from God, and you are not your own?" Is feeding your body the dead bodies of His unnecessarily killed creatures being good to your body? #weartheword#christianvalues#veganlove
went to utopia yesterday for some vegan asian food with @isabelleclaire_ for lunch and ate the most delicious sweet + sour tofu 😍 @isabelleclaire_ got a 'chicken' + tofu clay pot with a side of spring rolls 💜 would definitely recommend all you asian food lovers to give it a try! hope you all have an amazing weekend xxx
Well this was ridiculous. Jackfruit! Canned in brine from @traderjoes rinsed, cooked (sautéed with onions in olive oil, then in oven with barbecue sauce. Some Just Mayo and broccoli (sesame seeds & nutritional yeast) ===== AMAZING. everyone had seconds. #traderjoesvegan#deliciousveganfood
