I came across a project #100daysofdesi and feel very happy and surprised at the same time. As a Vaisnava (Lord Krsna's devotee) I have embraced Vedic Culture and the wear. I personally think that it is the most beautiful clothing and I love it and wear every single day. Another aspect I like is that it is covering me in all right places and looks chaste and beautiful. I wear in malls, airport, on holiday and people always come up to me giving compliments. At the same time it makes me wonder how Indian origin people don't wear original indian clothes and needs project like this? 10 year ago when I was living in Lithuania, people were not so much open minded of us wearing Indian clothes, you will get tons of negative reaction. Today as everyone has already seen all and practically naked person doesn't surprise anymore, people are coming to appreciate our dress. And I have seen it everywhere: cultured people appreciate culture. I am looking forward to see more of us embracing culture as it is truly awesome!
