“The point is that explanations for Black inequality that blame Black people for their own oppression transforms material causes into subjective causes…Ultimately this transformation is not about ‘race’ or even 'white supremacy’ but about 'making sense’ of and rationalizing poverty and inequality in ways that absolve the state and capital of any culpability.” Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor, From #BlackLivesMatter to Black Liberation

We've got a new fashion brand for you on Stylecarte: @Tibi (link in bio). ⠀
Designer and founder, Amy Smilovic, began her career in the fashion industry shortly after moving to Hong Kong in 1997 with her husband. Her small collection of contemporary dresses had four styles and was heavily influenced by her international travels.⠀
The collection quickly emerged into a complete line of women’s wear through word of mouth amongst the ex-pat community and today showcases during NYC’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.⠀
Amy still hand designs a range of styles to match her personal taste and her distinctive approach to dressing. ⠀
Blake Lively, Heidi Klum, Olivia Palermo and Florence Welch are all fans of Tibi’s clean, relaxed and feminine designs.⠀

He is Hadi from Afghanistan and Muslim. Now he lives in Berlin and alone. He fastens in Ramadan like other Muslims but it's a little bit harder and difficult, because he should fast 20 hours and it is more difficult than when he was doing it in Afghanistan. But this situation and not drinking and eating a long time doesn't stop him and he does his normal activities, and during the week he goes to play football with his friends.⠀⠀
"Moscow Square", Budapest, Hungary, 2015.
The "Moscow Square" is a long-term photography project:
I discovered Szell Kalman Square ( formerly between 1951 and 2011 Moszkva tér or Moscow Square ) in the mid-nineties and ever since I have the feeling that nothing has changed here. Time has seemingly stopped. This gate to mid-Buda is a city within the city. In a much narrower sense, however, passers-by use it for two reasons: to transfer or to meet with somebody. Hundreds of thousands of people force their way through the crowd, notwithstanding morning fatigue, or tiredness by the afternoon. They move around without seeing, hearing or paying attention to each other; there is only coarseness, rush, indifference, misery, grief, and noise. For most, this space is nothing but a dreadful mass of people with trams; it is but an ugly mole on the face of the city.
In recent years it got its original name back, Széll Kálmán Square ( but for many it is still Moszkva Square ) and then began the long process of renovating it from being a communist-era eyesore to becoming a modern-day transportation hub. Finally, this central plaza is now a part of Budapest’s modern city scene.
When you once heard about how you should keep flowers at the end of your bed so you wake up and see flowers so life can't be that bad so you seriously consider emptying your weekly market budget on just flowers
