I like the idea, but don't like that we still only have primarily wealthy straight white representatives of imperialism and American excess to be "woke" ab govt, but yeah -so- some of y'all STILL👏🏽DO👏🏽NOT👏🏽GET👏🏽IT👏🏽•• contrary to what #daddy told you, this world is NOT about making #money , getting #attention , and boosting your #ego . Jus because you wrap your #wendigo selfishness, heartlessness, and insatiable #desire for #excess in a trendy new package based on "self-#love " and "social #justice " does NOT mean yer actually focused on those values! Consuming to excess to curb the "anxiety" of living with unhealthy privilege in a world where millions die of #NEED daily? Using your privilege to draw attention to yourself and your privileged goals? Ignoring the faces/struggles/stories/hearts/souls of those whose position in this hierarchal system doesn't afford them the #AGENCY and #AUTONOMY you get to enjoy thru the classist, elitist, supremacist nature of the system you find yourself ABLE TO CONSUME TO EXCESS WITHIN? these, y'all, do not "love" and "justice" make. Stop pretending you're not a wendigo and g-g-go #educate yourself thru #Life#University so u can actually break that spell.
Hump Day Outfit! Sometimes the best way to get through the mid-week slump is to feel like you look great. So thank you my #political#inspiration and friend Sarah Arbaje for helping me through the week in style! 🖋️

She juxtaposed a diaphanous coral skirt with a lace navy crop top. Gray wedge sandals, bangly bracelets, arrowhead earrings for accessories. A light kimono style cover-up for the air conditioned job. My eyeshadow 👁️ was teal edged and my lipstick 💄 a nude pink.
This was a lot. It took several things that I would never think to pair together for fear of being too much and paired them. I'd have picked simpler shoes, I wouldn't have worn those bracelets and those earrings, I wouldn't have put on teal eyeshadow, but I did. And I loved it! I loved taking the "risks". I also loved feeling like Sarah had put so much thought into it, to have picked so many elements. I loved feeling like a gypsy queen, like belly dancing faery, like I was slightly excessive. Sometimes a little excess is good. 💃
Lunch involves Tempeh 🍃 AND chicken 🐔all in the same bowl!!! So, obviously I am not vegan/vegetarian. HOWEVER, I AM for living a balanced life free of EXCESSES! Including excess meat consumption, which is so common in America. My "Healing with Whole Foods" book recommends, if you must consume meat, to limit it to only a few ounces. Which I have been striving to do! With strength training, protein consumption is tough to do without any meat (though it can be done & I salute those who do) and I do like some meats. I keep it to birds & fish though and have been buying pasture-raised. Still learning things. It's baby steps.
