A weekend trip out to the delightful Ramster Gardens. With over 25 acres of peaceful woodland, views of lakes and hillsides, filled with colour and interest. It is famous for its magnificent displays of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias, and many rare and unusual trees and flowering shrubs.
I had an amazing weekend co guiding the Natures Lens Welsh Bird of Prey photography workshop. The highlight for me was this stunning female Buzzard! Despite some heavy rainfall we were lucky to get some nice breaks in the clouds allowing for some great directional lighting. @nature @wildlifepage @canonuk @bbcspringwatch @jessops #earthfocus
One year mark since I got a DSLR camera and set up this little page! It’s been wonderful going around snapping beautiful things and seeing other people’s photography on their pages. Here’s another shot from the stunning autumnal Westonbirt Arboretum, I love all the different tones here. I’ve not had a chance to go out with my new wide angle lens yet but I’m off to the Brecon Beacons this weekend coming so hope to have a play with it then! Have a good week y’all and thanks for following me 😊
Did you know, that squirrels don’t bloody keep still?! 🙈 This one did for a little while thankfully, too busy with his lunch to run away from me for 2 minutes, allowing me to get my best squirrel shot I’ve got so far 👍🏻 Along with my manual mode aspirations I’d also like to extend my wildlife experience. Some people might say that I should pick a niche and put all efforts into that, but the problem I have and have always had is that I enjoy such a diverse array of interests, and can usually turn my hand to most things. Which is a quality that I like about myself, although this sometimes makes it difficult to commit time to any one thing. As they say, “Jack of all trades, master of none!” 😂
Lovely drive up Deeside today - here we are approaching Ballater in the Highlands of Scotland. The trees here are mainly Silver Birch. They were snowing tiny yellow leaves, and casting stripey shadows on the roadway.
