It’s Friday! 🎉 ‘Landing of William Penn.’ is seen here drawn by Captain Seth Eastman (1808-1875) and engraved by Christian Schuessele, for “Romance of Indian Life; With other tales, selections from the Iris, an illuminated souvenir.” by Mary Henderson Eastman. It was published by Lippincott, Grambo and Co. out of Philadelphia in 1853. This print measures 6 1/4 x 9 inches. This print depicts the moment in October of 1862, when William Penn landed in Upland, which at the time was the only town in what would be called the Province of Pennsylvania. The town has since been renamed to Chester, Pennsylvania. 🌎⛵️🗺
Oh, the nostalgia I feel right now! 😭 A picture of me from five years ago. I can't believe that this was taken that LONG ago. I met some of the funniest, craziest, smartest people during this time of my life and wouldn't trade those memories for anything in the world. They made me the person I am today and I am forever grateful for the experiences I gained. ❤️💪🏻 #hcfs#explorers#firefighting#fire
