I did a road trip from Mumbai -Hyderabad-Tirupati-Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru started 530am on Friday and got back to Home yesterday afternoon i.e. Wednesday.
I have clocked close to 3500 kms and was driving my 2011 Hyundai Verna which was recently submerged in the recent Mumbai floods and was at the service centre for close to 2.5 months.
I got an FE in the range of 19-22 kmpl which is superb as I was doing decent speeds.
If i did 80-90 kmph I would surely get 25 kmpl.
I had two scheduled meetings one on Friday in Hyderabad and one on Tuesday in Mysore and hence I decided to take the road.
Another unscheduled one was held in Bengaluru.
I visited various cities and towns like Pune,Hyderabad,Secunderabad,Nellore,Tirupati,Chennai,Bengaluru,Mysore and Karad situated in States of Maharashtra, Telangana, Andra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
I started my journey near Carter Road which faces the Arabian Sea and Drove along the Bay of Bengal at various instances in Andra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu its like I literally travelled the Breadth of India and also all the states that I travelled had different languages which I don’t have a clue about. I met people from various backgrounds and geographies ate the best regional food.
Not once on the entire journey was I stopped by anyone for any sort of checking or anything of any sort.
I think it’s one of the best experiences of 2017 for me and I have decided I am going to see the entire of India by Road as and when I have the time.
It really feels great to have driven close to 550 km daily on an average and accomplished this trip and completed my meetings and also had lots of fun and met amazing people and stayed at various different locations and even had the chance stay in a backpackers hostel in Chennai.
I am doing another road trip this month itself.
I would like to thank #jio for making me able to stream music all throughout my road trip across all five states #kudos#exploringindia
