Health Check: Four Reasons To Have Another Cup Of Coffee
Some like it hot, some like it iced, and some just don’t like it at all. Until recently, coffee was on the list of habits to break if you really wanted to be healthy.
Not anymore. Systematic reviews of the research – the most powerful method to weigh up scientific evidence – judge the current evidence as mostly in favour of drinking coffee. Coffee drinking is linked to a decreased risk of premature death, type 2 diabetes and some types of cancer.
However, some people will need to be cautious of the amount. Heavy coffee intake has been linked to an increased risk of lung cancer and can exacerbate heart problems.
Coffee drinkers live longer. A review of 20 studies including more than 970,000 people found those who usually drank the most coffee had a 14% lower risk of dying prematurely from any cause, compared with those who drank the least.
Even drinking just one to two cups a day conferred an 8% lower risk.
Decaffeinated coffee drinkers who had two to four cups a day still had a 14% lower relative risk of premature death than those who didn’t drink coffee at all.
Coffee drinkers, particularly men, have a lower risk of liver cancer. This is important as liver disease is the sixth-most-common cancer in the world and is more common in men.
Results from six studies, based on the total number of cups of coffee drunk per day, found the relative risk of liver cancer was 14% lower for every extra cup.
Research shows that naturally occurring coffee components, including kahweol and cafestol, have direct cancer-protection and anti-inflammatory properties. Coffee appears able to up-regulate biochemical pathways in the liver that protect the body from toxins, including aflatoxin and other carcinogenic compounds.
Type 2 Diabetes
Coffee drinkers have a lower risk of type 2 diabetes. Across 28 studies of more than one million adults, those who drank three or more cups of coffee a day had a 21% lower relative risk of developing type 2 diabetes compared to those who never or rarely drank it.

How to Generate Leads From Facebook
Getting a good lead from Facebook takes more than just having someone like a post on your page. You need to engage your viewers more and provide them with the right content on your business Facebook page that will lead to more faithful customers, not blind followers who never come to your site again. That’s what a “lead” is: a viewer who becomes interested enough in your business to provide their contact information for your product, service, or offers. Those are the people you are looking for, and with a properly tailored Facebook page, those are the leads you can get.
Here are a few simple ideas to generate those kind of leads and increase your number of customers with your business Facebook page.
Create a contest
An effective way to get your business name out in the open is to promote a sweepstakes or contest on your page. Offer a special prize to the winner under the condition that they share something on social media from your site or your Facebook page. They could either post it on their own pages or be required to tag a certain number of friends who might also be interested. If those friends want in on the reward, they may share or tag someone in your post, too. It’s a way to promote your business, and you hardly have to do anything. Be sure you check with Facebook’s guidelines on promotions before you do something like this.
Have a call-to-action on every post
This is one way you can better engage your viewers and pick up on who’s actually interested in your product. Some CTA’s include a button on the post that may say “Learn more” or “Get the free ebook,” that will include a link to your landing page where they can enter their contact information. Or you can just directly include the link, shortening it with tools such as bitly that allow you to measure who clicks on the link.
And on the top of your Facebook page
You can also include a CTA button right under your banner. Then, when people first come to your page they have a chance to click on what you have to offer. Please like, share and comment on my post for more info about my business and I will offer a free e-book to the first 50 who take action.
With too much information out there about what to do and what not to do on your Facebook page, it gets a little noisy. I’d be straight up with one thing though: It’s good to listen to gurus and experts but doesn’t forget to “listen” to your target audience as well. http://bit.ly/2y8RjwC
What bugs me about sports is that basically you grow up and are taught to have enemies, and root for only certain teams, hate other teams, and get mad when you lose. So you start in elementary and have rival elementary schools. Then combine those rival schools together to be in junior high/middle schools and hate other the other junior highs. Then you combine them to go to high school together, and again have other rival high school teams. Then you combine again with your “rivals” to root for your college teams against other college teams. Then it’s your state teams rooting against other states. Then it’s freaking counties rooting against each other in the olympics.
Why do we have to have enemies and teams we hate, when the big picture is there are teams we can root for together? Why can’t we just watch sports and root for multiple teams and not hate other teams to the point where we get mad at people and in fights because “their team sucks” or “my team lost.” I have my teams I like, but it’s not to the point where if “my team” loses I’m gonna fight with others about bad calls, or how their team sucked. It’s about watching the sport/game and having fun with people around you.
Maybe if there were aliens playing sports against “earth” we might actually have world peace by coming together.
