Great weather for a #Run 56° and #Dreary but beats the super cold we have had past few weeks.
Got to run in #Shorts in the middle of #January
A 1-3" #snow is p predicted four Friday and I guess I'll be back to #snowrunning this weekend.
That is why I fell in love with #Running the change in weather I love #SummerRunning I love #WinterRunning and #SpringRunning and #FallRunning too. Cantt beat it cause of the variation.
Saw the registration opened today for the @cgtwines @cherryfestival Half Marathon July 7 and can't wait to run it again for the 3rd year. Got a room reserved early this time so we have an awesome room right on the bay. If you are a runner I HIGHLY recommend this #HalfMarathon as it is not only my favorite 1/2 it is hands down my favorite race to run ever.
Do you run away when it doesn’t work??
People often give up on their fitness routines because they don't see results right away.
You should always set short term goals to monitor alongside the long term results you hope to achieve.
Work a Little day by day and you will see habits and consistency build. Reward yourself with your favorite things along the way ex: new shoes etc... to keep you going! You’ve got this!
Sunday Runday 🏃🏻♀️ With only 1 week left in 2017 I’m falling short on my goal of 1000 Miles for the year, due to my recent hamstring issue, BUT that doesn’t mean I still can’t run what I can, setting a benchmark for next year and acknowledging that it’s still the most I’ve ever run in a year.
And that was one of the topics one of the podcasts I listened to addressed today.
In pursuing goals you have to start with a benchmark- whether it’s seeing how far you can run in 5 minutes, running 2 Miles in a certain time, or running a 5K, by knowing where you start you can see how far you’ve come.
Not every day will be perfect, not every goal will be achieved, but showing up, giving your best effort and believing in yourself, you’ll discover you are stronger than you know.
Some days you just don’t feel like running and today was one of those days. After a stressful day, I was just feeling low energy. I even thought about bagging it tonight. But I’m I glad I hung tough and pushed ahead. I did a 30 minute #steadystaterun which is roughly similar to a #marathonpace run, and ended up running just a hair under 3:20 MP. I never felt great this evening, but I was able to draw on my fitness and get a good result anyway. Proud of that. #runblr#fitblr#fallrunning#lastdayoffall
Since I haven't been conditioning myself for cold weather running this past month, when the rain started on top of the wind, I hopped on the treadmill & watched out the window for last day of #FallRunning
Totally was about to skip out on this run but then I looked and saw that I this would be my 8th day straight of running 8 miles daily soooo I laced up and went out. Wasn't too cold and it got hot fast. When I got to the paved road it was clear so I took my spikes off and set them by a mailbox until I came back. Put them back on once I got to the dirt road because it was slick. This coming week is going to be a muddy mess with the temps.
Need to start somewhere...I got to run through the leaves in Christmas bottoms! Even if it was only a little over a mile & slow, I now know that it may not feel great yet but I can do some moving again😁
Awesome sunny weather run today! 4 miles at 8:49. That pace felt really comfortable today where usually I’ve been pushing to stay there. Signing up for a half in April so it’s time to pick a training plan 👍🏃🏻♀️#runhappy#fallrunning#runnersofinstagram
Over slept a little and I forgot to hide the elf 😣 (swipe)
So I hit the treadmill for some maintenance work.🏃♀️ Monday training actually begins for a couple half I am eye balling.
