Yesterday confirmed why my choice to leave my kids father was the best choice. What father doesn’t call text their child on their bday? Anybody that knows me, and my situation, knows that I am the type of “baby momma” that regardless how stupid the father is, I let him see his kids when he wants, or if my kids want to see him. Why am I upset? Because it matters to my son. I picked him up from school yesterday and he told me, “ Mommy, nobody didn’t even say happy birthday to me. Im like really? Not even your teacher? He’s like no. He’s like, I told people it’s my bday and they said oh that’s cool man. Im like sorry baby. But me and Lainee told you happy bday in the morning remember? And we sang to you. And he’s like yeah, and that’s it. He’s like, it kind of hurt my feelings. Im like it’s ok, it doesn’t matter how many people tell you. It just matter on the people that counts anyways. To people that has kids and are not together anymore. nobody cares about how you feel. It’s about the kids. Suck up what the hell you feel about yourself , and be there for your kids . Especially on their bday. #alesson#family#momlife#dontmesswithmykids
How Gravitational Waves and 'Multi-Messenger' Research Will Change Astronomy
Scientists announced Monday (Oct. 16) that the era of multi-messenger astronomy has officially begun. But what does that phrase mean, and how will it change the study of the cosmos?
This new era began with the detection of gravitational waves — ripples in the universal fabric of space-time — produced by two neutron stars merging together. That collision also erupted with light in every wavelength range — radio, infrared, visible, ultraviolet, X-ray and gamma-ray — which were detected by observatories around the globe and in space.
This is the first time scientists have seen gravitational waves and light waves from the same event. Studying the universe with these two fundamentally different types of information is like observing the world with multiple types of sensory input, such as vision and hearing — it offers the possibility of a richer understanding of the world, researchers said.
My heart was so full of appreci-love and gratitude yesterday as I returned home from Philly. I had a wonderful weekend with my spiritual family and my new friendships. I attended an amazing 70th bday party 🎂 in honor of a phenomenal ♎ Libra Lady (my spiritual aunt Myisha 😍.) I'm happy to celebrate life with this family who have embraced me, my love and my gifts and have lovingly supported my growth and development this past summer.
On Sunday, we headed to Chester, Pennsylvania where I was blessed to share my beginnings, my work and my Ancient Blends amongst a group of heavy hitting elders, who's (his/her) historic life stories were eye opening and inspiring. Thank you to the elders for their blessings and ancestral guidance for opening the way. The vegan potluck dishes were scrumptious and satisfying. As the season shifts into the cooler side of autumn, spirit is calling me to go within to fortify and create newness for this next level of my journey. I'm making plans to schedule appointments and workshops in Philly. So, I'm NOT leaving Brooklyn, it's just time to expand the goodness!!! Enjoy Today! #HappyTuesday !
I love it when I can capture a moment - one that would otherwise be lost in time forever. There’s only 22 months between these two little monkeys of mine (quite what we were thinking when we planned that one, I don’t know!) and whilst there are plenty of moments when it’s tough, there are a whole load more where it’s wonderful. Not even 7 months into their journey together they have the most incredible bond, people comment to me on just how much she adores her older brother, the look in her eyes and the smile on her face gives it away. And the way he tenderly puts an arm around her shoulders and whispers, “love you Imogen,” or, “best ever ever,” as he squishes her into a big bear hug. This morning it was them both playing together with this little Happyland house, both on their tummies with bare little feet. #mumlife#mummy#mummyblogger#parenting#parentingblogger#mummybloggersuk#channelmumvillage#siblings#kidsofinstagram#family#children#blessed
