I live in a small farming community🚜 of around 200 people. We live a half an hour 🕜away from the nearest town that still is quite small. We do get quite a lot of visitors 🚗on the weekends coming through our town to visit the mountains ⛰and camp. 🏕Sometimes people will stop by our home that are from out of town and ask for help or directions. 🌎A lot of times they will ask what else is in town like car repair shops🚘 or other gas stations⛽. We have one small gas station that carries a few items of importance and has a little cafe🍔☕ that people love to visit. There is nothing else except a cute one-room schoolhouse, and a church building. Otherwise our town is surrounded by good people🤠, beautiful farms🌱 a few old homes🏚, and roads that have lots of potholes. We also have amazing views📸 of the surrounding mountains⛰ that I never tire of looking at👀, and being amazed at our wonderful God's creation. 💙This photo was taken at one of the original homes of this little town. Something I almost cannot do: pass up roadside strawberry stands. These, from Luttrell Fields in Yankton, OR. Thank you.
GUESS WHAT?! They have you-pick. Aweee yeaaaa. It's ON.
...Did you ever go berry picking as a kid?
Check out this article for some berry good history of the Luttrell Fields and perhaps relive some memories of your own childhood berry picking days.
I found this neat, mint green metal crate yesterday. I mislabelled it as a milk crate, but after I looked up the farm name on the metal tag, I realized that it's an egg farm that's been in operation since the 40's. And they're still going! At Old Glory, $30.
