I've come to admire Breadfruit without ever having tasted it (yet.) There's an entire Institute dedicated to these big loves and the reasons are bountiful. It's a friggen super fruit. One alone can feed a family of 5, giving them the nutrients they need. One tree alone can yield 100 or MORE. If you were to plant them in developing countries..(and this is in the works?)..it could save lives. I feel this way about growing anything, anywhere we can grow and even in places you THINK you can't grow. (i hate that many of us are told we can't by our landlords). We need to be growers. Sharers. Givers. Lovers. I've so much love for what's going on in my city today. We have a ROOFTOP FARM that is helping others have rooftop farms and gardens of their own. You have me trying to grow out of any container that will fit in my side yard. I celebrate you, growers and givers and farmers and our beautiful markets, which are now accepting ebt cards BTW. End rant.
💚 CAN YOU NAME THE SQUASH?
Hint: The ____ are believed to be one of the first cultivated plants of the world and were domesticated more than 10,000 years ago in Africa. ___ Squash offers a mild flavor reminiscent to a blend of summer squash and cucumber with a firm yet tender to the bite texture. #specialtyproduce#squash#farmersmarket 📸 @kongthao03
Producing more milk when they listen to Beethoven’s “Pastoral Symphony” than the Beetles’ “Back in the U.S.S.R.,” cows seem to enjoy MOOd (sorry) music. Also, some deep sand, a nice warm temperature, the best alfalfa, better breeding and robotic milkers up their productivity. And that is the problem.

Ben @bluestarcomfort is crushing our salad succession plantings this season. Getting tarps down before the rain really helped us stay on target this week. Staying on top of bed prep and plantings each week is key to consistant production . We are very grateful for Ben joining our team this season.
