Wednesday's are usually a busy one for me.. building blocks, groceries and errands with two boys.
There is something so convenient and empowering to not be hungry. To not be tempted by foods at the grocery store. To not have to take time to eat & cook, or hit the drive thru. To not consume myself with the thought of food.
Feeling great myself, and so mentally clear, it makes it a lot easier running to town with a crying baby & toddler.. this was not the case just a couple months ago adjusting to the new mom of two.. but lately it's been very good.
Sure. I hear moms say all the time they rarely eat. Because they simply don't have time.
But- do you feel good like this? Are you in control of your cravings? Do you binge eat later when the kids are sleeping? Or snack on junk the few seconds you do have?
When I do finally eat- it is a very satisfying meal, full of healthy fats, tons of veggies. I try to make sure that I am satiated. I also avoid snacking (this is obviously a tough one.. but you just do your best right?) I feel great. Simply that. I feel GREAT. Can you say the same..? .

Multi-Vitamin💊 Vs. Greens Powder🌱
After the poll and getting plenty of responses this idea was proposed and figured it’s great as I’ve got this question in the past! What’s the difference between the two and why would you take one over the other or both?
While it is possible to get all your nutrients through real food, not only can this be a huge challenge and hassle. When it comes to nutrient dense food (such as fruits & vegetables) a lot of people think about micro nutrients. However this is only half of the picture. Nutrient dense foods also provide lesser known chemicals that are phytonutrients. While not essential for life they can benefit in both performance and overall health.
The problem is that to cover both these micro and phyto nutrients not only must you eat a large quantity of nutrient dense fruits/vegetables.. but you also must consume a wide variety (and some of these can be pretty obscure, hard to find, and expensive). And most of the population who eats enough vegetables mainly consume those relatively low in nutrients.
The goal should be to consume as many of these as possible but supplementation can help fill in the gaps. A high quality and properly formulated multi-vitamin (Triumph) can cover your micronutrients and this would be my base line recommendation for supplementation but will not cover your phytonutrients found in whole foods.
This is where a greens powder can come into play (budget permitting of course). A PROPERLY and SCIENTIFICALLY formulated greens powder can have a huge impact on filling these gaps in the diet. But should NOT be an excuse to be lazy with your whole food intake. It should supplement a healthy diet, NOT replace it👊🏼
The problem with most greens supplements are that while they tote however many servings of fruits and vegetables, they are just proprietary blends of random ingredients that have no scientific backing as to their use or dosages. Just a bunch of cheap marketing bull shit. While they sound good on the surface, They don’t actually provide any ingredients or dosages that are actually proven to have any benefit.

My @ketokrate did not dissapont this month! This showed up on my doorstep yesterday and the mailman didn't even charge me the duty/taxes I usually have to pay (woohoo!!) What's the point of this? It shows that fasting + exercising + sauna gets me in ketosis faster than just fasting even if it's for a longer time. I'm going to walk for an hour and see what that does...#ketosis#fasting

START TIME: Monday 7pm
I went to bed around 🕙10pm, which is my normal schedule 👵🏻 then woke up at 🕖7am, got enough rest as you can tell ☺️(thank you @1stPhorm C-21🙏🏻).
since the home made Apple Cider Vinegar Drink (recipe posted yesterday) was suggested to drink halfway through the fast, I mixed it up and drank it immediately after waking up. Took my supplements I take on daily basis (@1stPhorm Royal XXI Queen and T-21 which are essentially part of their fat burner stack) and left for the day.
I got to the gym at 10AM (after being in fasted state for 15hours). Surprisingly I did feel great, and had one of the best sessions 💪🏼 only caffeine I had was from the pre workout supplement I had taken, and even got a pump 🙆🏻 LOL, thanks soy sauce✌🏻
I did feel “Brain Hunger” by the end of the training session, you know some brain fogginess, which was expected after being carb depleted for so long with the combination of additional depletion caused by resistance training. I really just wanted to keep myself occupied so I did a 20min MISS cardio on stair master.
🕐1PM: still not hungry, however I could’ve fell asleep standing 😁
at 🕑2PM I mixed up an other ACV drink and took the second pill of T-21 (it’s a supplement that naturally helps to regulate Thyroid hormone production) and watched Jackie Chan’s new movie 🎬(Highly recommended movie!🙌🏼) where towards the end, slight stomach growling appeared. (about 22hrs into fasting).
🕢6:30PM: I threw all the ingredients needed for the ANTI-INFLAMMATORY & DIGESTING AID SMOOTHIE for immediately post fast (recipe on my page as well) and enjoyed the heck out of it😍
followed the smoothie I had 3 big meals a little spaced out to reach my macronutrient goal of the day. Honestly, the big amount of food was a bit challenging to eat, so I might start a little earlier next Monday, giving myself more time to consume all meals.
Overall, it went really well, and I’ll be incorporating it weekly into my schedule, on the same day of each week. I strictly see it beneficial for solving my digesting issues and naturally balancing hormone levels, mainly insulin & HGH
Et voila nous sommes au troisième jour de jeûne 10 km dans les pattes aujourd’hui et je le casse ce soir avec la banane de la victoire 🍌 ! je vais me régaler comme d’hab’ mon petit bouillon à côté pour accompagner. Vraiment j’ai beaucoup plus subi que la fois précédente ( pourtant la dernière fois j’avais jeûné 7 jours). Après ce n’est pas une question de performance c’est juste histoire de faire un renouveau au niveau du corps! Niveau mental le premier jour j’ai eu une grande émotivité vraiment en bad total j’étais pas bien ! le deuxième jour au contraire j’étais beaucoup plus positive et j’étais vraiment dans un sentiment de gratitude 🙏
De gratitude par rapport à tout ce que m’a apportait le jeûne : il m’a permis de dire merci d’avoir à manger tous les jours, il m’a permis de prendre du temps pour moi, il m’a permis de me poser de me calmer et de me dire que ce que je ne pouvais pas faire et bien je ne pouvais pas le faire ! Il m’a permis de m’écouter de ressentir beaucoup plus mon corps mon cœur et la respiration qui était en moi. Il m’a permis d’être complètement dans l’instant présent , de boire et manger doucement et à cuisiner en apprécions l’odeur dégagée. Il m’a aussi appris à être moins dur envers moi-même, à contempler et à lâcher prise.
Donc même si je n’en suis pas à 72 heures mais plutôt quelque chose comme 67 ou 68 heures je suis très satisfaite de cette nouvelle expérience et de ce renouveau.

Intermittent Fasting! Going to give this a try. My best friend Alexa is trying it out and told me about it and I've done some research on it. It seems like a good jumpstart to kick my body back into gear since I've been at a plateau for a few weeks now. It is NOT a diet and it does NOT restrict your from eating! It just changes the amount of time that you eat. We'll see how it goes!

Today has been her third day back in the gym and let me tell you she has been killing it 🔥. I am so glad that she decided to join me on my fitness journey.
Anytime I have this woman beside me I feel like nothing is impossible 💪🏽. PS: The journey just got way better 😃
