Dave has been in bodybuilding since 1990 and has his own approach to low carb dieting. I'll take any bit of knowledge I can get to gain an edge on mortality⚰. My blood sugar was 85 this morning and that's great but my ketones are non existent at .3 mmol/l😣. I've been lowering my carbs again to under 25 grams and I can feel it coming back. Some people can follow a loose ketogenic diet and not track or measure, I am not one of them⚖. Eat like you LOVE yourself. ❤️ 👆🏽 That's a powerful message. Are you eating because you LOVE yourself, love your body and want to nourish it with the best? When you put food in your body is it to fuel yourself with the best or is it because you're bored, angry, frustrated, or sad?
Don't get me wrong, I'm by no means perfect! But I strive to make the best choices whenever possible, at least 80% of the time. Food is fuel though.. so let's select premium 😏

Eating virtually no carbs all day 🥚🥓🥑should allow me to eat these vegetables and huge salads for dinner. I'm going to have to start measuring again though,⚖ I have no idea how many were on these dinner plates. It's all beautiful, delicious whole foods though. Grass-fed polish sausage, bok choy and cauliflower mash all topped with garlic butter. I didn't eat salads for 35 years so I'm trying to catch up I think! Standard breakfast of eggs, bacon and avacado after a morning workout. Front Lateral raises while trying to hold a kettlebell horizontal! Holy flippin' forearms batman! 💪💣
I never would have thought to pair shredded coconut on a salad but it freaking WORKS! 👌🏽 Spinach salad with chicken breast, mushrooms, sliced almonds, avocado, and shredded coconut. With a spicy guava dressing.. 😍
Don't let anyone ever tell you that eating clean is boring! 🙄

I haven't had filet mignon in forever. Left an 8oz piece bloody and rare tonight and topped it with a garlic butter spread that I made! I'm glad I made extra because it was delicious and is going to top my vegetables for awhile. I finished up my month of no dairy, now it's time to add it back in and see the results. I didn't have many effects from removing it so I'll add it back in slowly and continue to test. First up; Butter of course! "Zucchini noodles are SO 2016"
Not on my watch. Or at least.. IDGAF because it's such a good sub for pasta 🙌🏽 👉🏽 1/2 cup cooked pasta = 160 calories, 28g C, not much in terms of fiber or micronutrients unless you get some enriched stuff. 👉🏽 1 cup zucchini noodles = 35(ish) calories, 4g C, 1.2g fiber and loaded with vitamin C and other healthy stuff 👏🏽👏🏽 Double the VOLUME, a fraction of the calories and carbs. That leaves room for adding yummy stuff like asiago cheese (as pictured) or avocado 🥑😍 I promise, you won't even miss the starchy stuff 🤷🏽♀️
Here’s my exciting keto breakfast 😂. I don’t always feel like eating a bar or eggs/bacon. So I like my “oatmeal”. It’s simple, very fast, and very filling. Most importantly I can make it while holding my 9month old 👍🏼. Ingredients:4 tbsp flaxseed meal, 1 tbsp peanut butter (I enjoy the taste better than almond), heavy cream and almond milk till desired thickness, 2 tsp chia seeds, 1 tsp maple flavor.

I've been wanting to try zoodles but I'm not a fan of watery food.
I recently read a tip on how to fix this problem when it comes to making zoodles.
TIP: in a large bowl, salt the zucchini to extract the excess water. After 15 minutes, drain the zucchini noodles and dry them with a paper towel. Set aside on a dry paper towel to continue drying before cooking. Cook until al dente, 1-2 minutes.

So I found the Wild Planet ones in olive oil at Wegman's (the most over rated supermarket I know of). Anyway, Canned sardines contain energy, protein, fat, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, sodium, and zinc. Vitamins in sardines include thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, folate, vitamin B12, vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E and vitamin K. I'm feeling like I need to send a nice bottle of champagne to the person who decided riced cauliflower would be a good idea 💡 because it legit IS 😍
Brown rice (1 cup): 216 calories, 45g C, 3.5g fiber
Riced cauliflower (1 cup): 20 calories, 4g C, 2g fiber
That's what I mean by eating for VOLUME. If you want to save 196 calories, you can either eat 1/8 cup of brown rice (about 2ish tablespoons).. OR... You can eat an entire cup of riced cauliflower.
