I went from having no booty or muscle definition to having a 🍑 and losing my pants.
Personally, I think it was a fair exchange. 🤷🏾♀️
Also, I was wearing gloves and squatting with a Smith machine ... pretty sure I was quarter squatting, too. 😅
#throwback (3 months ago) when I managed to attempt a new front squat PR ... 160 -> 170 -> 180
Hopefully this will be a good off season movement that will aid me on focusing to improve my squat in general ... goal will probably be able to front squat somewhere between 185 and 205 ... 😏😏😏

This comp prep has been the most challenging one I've had, in which for the past 4 to 5 months (due to me doing masters) juggling between two gym memberships at @lesmillsbritomart and @getstrengthgym
.... Best comp condition I have done since November 2015... 32.5kgs Total PR, and a 18.11 Wilks pts PR in a space of 5 months... hence I did not focused on top 3 finish ... but I happy on what I have performed on this comp ... even though squats have been a bit of a poop ride for the past and last 4 weeks into my planned cycle, right hip started to annoy me after that third squat. But I am so happy that I managed to get 235kgs in comp which was a PR revenge from my third squat in North Islands this year (exactly 5 months ago)... did a totally different approach on my weight cut also which was the best process I have done! (Probably explain this in a different post this week). It was good to share the platform with a lot of strong CDPA heavy lifters (cannot tag you all but you know who you all are)! With an opportunity to watch a very motivating and massive deadlift with CDPA's very own Tony Clift (*cough* @pugglesnz 😏)...
Thanks to @cameron.h_66 for deciding on the last minute to sacrifice his Sunday afternoon to handle (and putting up with my stupidity) and run my cards on the day! •••••
It was good to meet all my CDPA Instagram network at #bledisbro2017 in person. I will make it a goal to come back next year for sure! Thanks to @powerhousegymnz for organising such a very awesome and one of a kind positive vibe that I've experienced!

Comp re-fule post weight in shopping done and also surprisingly under weight now (competing as u120 Open) ... Less that 13 hours (from the time of this post) till weight ins... hopefully the scales don't play catfish even though I found out that my one vs the comp scales are at the margin of error of +0.15 ... so shall be sweet tomorrow ... ❤

Friday! Love a casual Friday so I can wear my jeans 👖 although I nearly had a complete meltdown when I put on a pair of skinny jeans and they went on far too easily and I thought I was losing gains 😭😭😭😭😭 turns out they were just “relaxed skinny” wtf?! Cant be doing with that so they are in the bin! 😂😂😂 I’ve felt crap all week, ate crap and then felt crap because I’ve ate crap 💩 the cycle continues 🙈🙈🙈 but I’ve lifted really well this week🤔 getting a bit softer round the middle though just when I had found my abs they are quickly disappearing which is not good 😔
I should be getting back on track and not wait until Monday but I know it’s not going to happen, I’ll start off good and then by night or next day 🙊😳 somebody wire my jaws shut!

This was what my fat ass looked like at the end of my 8 week cut. Do I even lift? Am I still a powerlifter if I'm not fat?
For everyone who cares, here's how I did it: I spent most of the time in a caloric deficit. That's it. Really.
Other stuff I did: Increase cardio and NEAT, train hard as hell, increase protein intake, decrease the amount of weekly pizza and chocolate (although I did have quite a few of both up until the last week of cutting 😂) and last but not least... Patience.
