Thanksgiving Week for Americans, finally! I'm very excited to eat and eat and eat, but not excited for winter and the cold that comes with it. Although, I am now able to bust out my flannels and my Christmas novels! I talk about Wintersong all the time and I recommend it to everyone I know, it is so beautifully written and is so enthralling. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving if you celebrate it and if not, happy reading! 😊
We love Frank Asch books around our house, especially the bear books. There's a lot of bigger science concepts going on but done in a playful sweet story. In this story bear is playing hide and seek with the moon which the moon is really good at playing apparently, lol!
Look at all the @jay.crownover awesomeness coming our way! @drewl805, awesome photo for Shelter! Check the blog (link in profile) for more info and pre-order links! Shelter releases 12/26 and Escape releases 1/30/18, just around the corner book nerds!
DOUBLE COVER REVEAL
Shelter: Book 2 in the Getaway Series
His life is chaos and confusion. It’s a storm of uncertainty and raging emotion.
Sutton Warner is a mess. Everything in his life feels like it’s unraveling.
He’s let a lot of people down lately, including his daughter. Sutton always promised his little girl he would never disappoint her and that he would always be there when she needed him. Until he wasn’t.
The truth is, he’s used to disappointing the women in his life. First was his mother who couldn’t find a reason to stick around when he was growing up. Then there’s his ex. The woman who takes unbridled delight in making his life incredibly complicated. Luckily, his daughter is still young enough to believe her old man is some kind of hero. But, he knows the day is coming when she realizes the truth, which is, he’s just a man with some serious flaws and a list of ever-growing weaknesses.
Finally, there’s the woman he’s desperately trying to forget with every shot tossed back and each pill popped.
He more than disappointed Emrys…he almost got her killed.
Escape: Book 3 in the Getaway Series
Everything inside of him is screaming that he needs to run, he needs to go, he needs to escape.
Lane Warner is used to being overshadowed and overlooked.
After all, he’s the youngest brother and the most laid back one in the family. He’s the one known for going with the flow and not making waves, even when things seem to be at their worst.
Very few things in life have had the ability to rile Lane up and get under his skin. At the top of that list is his childhood friend Brynn Fox…no…Brynn Warner. The fact that they share a last name was the one thing that has the power to light him up and spin him out of control like no other. There was no calm, cool and collected when it comes to all the reasons why Brynn had to become part of his family.
It’s slowly killing him to keep wanting.

This book. I have waited for so long for the next book from Janet Fitch! White Oleander is probably my favorite book ever. The Revolution of Marina M. is mesmerizing so far. I just want to savor each page, sentence, word...and this cover! I am in love with this book! #janetfitch#therevolutionofmarinam#favoriteauthors#bookstagram#beautifulbooks
Well, I'm back and it's only been...forever? I don't know why I quit bookstagramming because I'm still actively reading (104 books this year!!). So, here is a fresh start! Lately, been reading A LOT of graphic novels, that's actually all I've been reading. They are so fun, and I'm coming to really appreciate the art and how it contributes to the story. The first one I read was Joyride (I own the 2nd volume) and I loved it so much. So if you've ever considered a graphic novel, I think you should try it!
Sorry I was gone, but I'm back now and doing what I really enjoy! 😄~Bree
Several years ago, the work of Frances Hodgson Burnett inspired me to write a story that had the same flavor and feel to it, a story that wasn't riddled with intense drama, a story that was simple and sweet and genuine.
The Shadowfields was born.
Thanking Frances for her inspiration was never something that occurred to me, since she's been gone a long time now.
But today, I have the privilege of mailing a signed copy of The Shadowfields to her great-great-granddaughter, @fhbandme.
If you want to see one happy little writer...come to my house.
