These turkeys. 🦃💗 Pretty sure they're made of magic. Karl at @kismetcreekfarm filled us with SO much knowledge and inspiration during our amazing visit. Seriously, folks. Everyone needs to make the trip out to their happy place just south of Steinbach. ☺️
Witnessing birds in flight inspires most of us to a feeling of freedom. I ran across this quote today and it has stuck with me all day, so I thought I would share.
"The only way to deal with an unfree world is to be come so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion." ~Albert Camus
I've always confused intensity with importance. People who would storm into my life like thunder and leave chaos at their wake had to be important, right? Lovers, bosses, relatives, friends... I would be sucked into this whirlwind of emotions and always come out hungrier. For more, for louder, for more often. For meaning. But lately I'm realizing the importance of softness. Not every romance or career choice should feel like you're pulling teeth (unless that's your thing and you have a safe word). The gentle breeze that caresses your hair one sunny afternoon by the river can be of equal importance to a tsunami that left you soaked or a roaring fire that almost burnt you to the ground. Silence can be as important and as edgy as a scream (if not more). And you can choose to be more like a feather, knowing that this way of living is no less you, no less important. #musings#featheredfriends#gentlecat#underthesky#nordicinspiration#iamnordic
