Time to fill the feeders! This White-breasted Nuthatch is a common sight at backyard feeders and an active and agile bird often seen moving up AND down the trunks of trees. Pictured here enjoying some BirdWise® seed!
Powerful Owl with possum kill!
After an owl eats each night (rodents, birds, bugs etc), it’s stomach cannot digest the fur, bones, teeth, feathers etc from that feed. These extras are all formed into a tight pellet inside the owl and as can be seen here, coughed up and spat out 😀 (you can see the pellet dropping past the branch below. Was so fortunate to see it happen!
Big day today! Had a nice breakfast, played on my gym for a couple of hours whilst mum cleaned my cage then had a bit of a nap whilst mum & dad went out for lunch. When they got back mum took me for a walk to the park with the dogs in my travel cage and I got to talk to all the wild birds! Now I'm chilling in the garden eating pellets and getting some more vitamin D!
