Sorry (but not really) for posting pictures of cheese platters all the time...but the cheeses are just sooooo good looking, not to mention tasting, that it wouldn't be fair if we didn't talk about them often. They're award winners you know...and they taste like it! Picnics? Platters? Racing? Entertaining? Just Because? Just ask us, we can help with all of the above xx
Day 19 of #amindfulmonth invites you to be in the moment and feed your soul. You can interpret this however you wish, it could be meditative activity or it could be an act of kindness. If you are religious it may be prayer or it could be literally food related.
A mindful month is an inclusive activity, and we respect that people derive peace and pleasure from myriad things (please be kind to yourself and others). It is all about experiencing the now and keeping your mind focussed on present sights, sounds, smells and activities. The aim is to help you find some peace from any retrospective or racing thoughts.
We love it when you share your images, it is great to feel part of a positive community 😊
While I am an advocate of health and wellness, I also believe it's ok to indulge and enjoy life without guilt. My purpose in my courses, coaching and retreats is to help you be 80% mindful and conscious of your choices and 20% guilt-free about indulging in life's little pleasures. Once you get to this place you may find that things shift again to 90/10 (or maybe not) because you begin to habitually make choices that make you FEEL good.
In 4 weeks I return to Fiji for the next retreat (sold out) and cocktails on sunset is one of the little pleasures we enjoy.
In the past 2 weeks I have had a lot of women wanting to join us in Fiji next month but unfortunately I have no availability. There are two Bali Retreats in 2018 that have availability and more retreats will soon be released. Please visit the link in my profile for details. ✈️🌏👭🥑🥝🍍🍷🍹📿🔮🕉
I hate cooking!! • Yep, I'm a Nutritional Therapist and sometimes I really hate cooking •
I'm not a natural chef, so I often follow recipes and I plan our meals • But, as soon as I'm stressed or too busy, the first thing that goes out the window is my menu planning • This stresses me out even more and makes cooking a chore! •
But it's ok, because I'm human - I'm not perfect • None of us are perfect • And food certainly isn't about perfection • As long as my meals include good fats, protein and lots of fibre I'm happy • And it certainly doesn't matter what they look like • Our meals do not have to look 'Instagram worthy' in order to nourish us •
But eating crap when we're stressed can make the stress worse • So, ensuring our fridges and cupboards are full of healthy foods means even our 'throw together' meals can still be packed full of nutrients to help us cope •
Who else finds cooking a chore when they're stressed?🙋
