Romeo Update....I spoke with the vet this morning. Romeo made it through the night. They are keeping him tonight as well. They will try to take his catheter out tomorrow morning and is soon as he goes to the litter box on his own, he gets to come home. He is going to be on a special diet but the vet felt like it is the hard water that causes a lot of urinary infections in cats. From now on he is going to be drinking distilled water. As will Gabby. So I don’t know how many of you guys know this but I just wanted to share in case you have a male (or female I guess ) Cat that are having the same kind of issues. Hopefully with the switch in diet and water he will be OK. We catch Romeo drinking out of the toilet all the time...We try to keep the seat down but I was worried about the bacteria causing the urinary infection but again the vet assured me that it was not the bacteria but the water itself. I just want him to come home and be his normal self. I know he looks horrible in this picture, but he is doing better. When he starts feeling better I’m getting cleaned up but right now we’re just trying to get him healthy. Thank you guys for your love and support. Alright, I’m about to go on a bit of a rant so if you don’t feel like reading it, here are some of my favorite activation exercises before leg days. I personally like kneeling on glute kick backs, I’ve learned this trick from @taychayy and it’s really helped reduce my lower back pain. I’m not going to pretend like I know everything about health and fitness because I don’t at all!! These are just some of my favorites.🤗 But back to my rant, I see so many people hating on others for their likes and dislikes. Specifically fitness. I understand that not everyone loves to workout, but that doesn’t mean you should shame someone who does? You don’t see fitness people bashing on artists, musicians, or whatever your hobby may be. I often think that people are afraid to go to the gym because they think that they are being judged. Unless, you’ve personally experienced this (which I’m sorry if you have) the majority of people I know, go to the gym to get their own shit done. When I go to the gym I literally tell myself, “Tunnel vision Maddy. You’re not here to do what she’s doing or compare how heavy you’re lifting to her.” This mindset has moved mountains for me. I work out because I love the endorphins. I workout because I love feeling strong. I know what it’s like to be physically and mentally weak and I never want to reach that place again. You don’t have to justify working out or not working out. Some people run marathons, some people power lift, others swim or dance. Really the options are endless. I think we need to stop thinking that fitness equals aesthetics. Fitness is a celebration of your body and what it can do. I will never apologize for loving to lift weights and I will never judge someone who doesn’t love it. I am alive. I am healthy. Haven't been posting much lately. Pulled back from fabrication and tig welding to focus on my health. For far to long I was a workaholic. 120 hour work weeks were common just to keep up with demand. It left little time for anything else including family and my health. Happy to have finally made a change.
I’m back! I am feeling so much better. Naturally, I am feeling a little weak so I modified my entire workout today. I did Super Strength 50, a burn out and core. It felt so good to move though! It appears everyone is on the mend here....fingers crossed 🤞 #cantholdmedown 😜
