My Friday night is being spent catching up on blog posts from this year's European and Asian travels. If you need a little something something to read, check out my guide to getting around #London 🇬🇧#SLKintheUK#VisitUK
I promise I do train more than legs! 🙈 But these lunges are too good of a move to not share with you! Do 3 counts down and come right back up for 10 reps. Follow this up by doing 10 reps as fast as you can.
Be sure to keep your chest up and your front knee at 90 degrees. Your legs will be burning about halfway through. And don’t forget to do the same on the other side. 💪🏼
I quite like getting up early when I'm travelling, the world feels unexplored, quietly shimmering just beyond the bed. Plus, I usually need to take pictures without fluorescent anoraks in them so it's a happy coincidence that I can arrive at places early.
The downside is that there often isn't transport at this time so hiring a car or driver is a necessity. This time, I was only 5km from Vintgar Gorge while staying in Bled, so I walked there in time for it to open at 8am.
Myself and a group of delightful Japanese OAP's (honestly my favourite kind of travellers, they are so intrepid and good humoured no matter what!) had the 4km walkways to ourselves until 9.30am when, as I got back to the start, 200 people arrived in one go!
There's loads of room so I don't think it matters how many people are there but I'd probably avoid 11am-2pm when the tour buses arrive. It's a really fun walk for children as there's loads to see and do all the way round and the whole thing takes around 2 hours done at a leisurely pace. 🐟
Tourists? What tourists? 😋
Having a whale of a time visiting Slovenia's major attractions. The scenery is so clean and well preserved. The locals are understandably proud of their natural surroundings and recycle everything. A national clean up day last year saw more than a third of the population spend their weekend cleaning their country. sLOVEnia is an understatement, I adore it. 💚
An intensely beautiful sunset, a photographer, and a girl doing yoga.
Three very separate things.
But when we come together,
When we collaborate,
We become mirrors to one another.
A fresh perspective
A complementing contrast.
Separately, we are works of art.
Together, we are a masterpiece.
Crushed my 25 minute workout first thing this morning with the help of a few fur babies! Their version of “helping” was giving me LOTS of kisses and laying adorably right where I was trying to workout. It was all worth it though! I got in a FANTASTIC workout and a few extra cuddles during my drink breaks. 💪🏼😏
It's kinda crazy - I have full, free, access to a legit gym about a 15 minute walk from where I stayed last night.
I had this elaborate plan that I'd get up walk to the gym, do my 30 minute workout, shower and get dressed there, then walk back to my car allllllll by 9am 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 As I laid in bed considering this I was like so I'd spend .... 30 minutes walking to the gym
Another 15 getting a locker and putting my things away.
Another 10 finding a spot to workout with the equipment I want.
So that's 55 minutes of getting ready for a 30 minute workout... 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Instead - I slept in a bit longer, and got a 45 minute PiYo workout in, showered and still got to my car by 9.... I'm not anti - gym... I'm just pro time!
Use it effectively and efficiently and maybe we wouldn't be so busy 🤷🏻♀️ Also it doesn't really matter where I workout since they're all on my phone!
Ok time to snuggle some nieces.
Happy Friday y'all!!
2 days ago, being a tourist and visiting the first ever Tim Horton’s! If it wasn’t for this place I would never have gotten addicted to chocolate and birthday cake timbits so I would like to thank you. 🙌🏼
With this ever increasing fog in West Yorkshire all I can say is take me to the beach! Reminiscing about the warm weather and sand between my toes at this little spot on the north west coast of Langkawi, an island off of mainland Malaysia. Who's got room for me in their suitcase?
I've started to really love solo traveling. I have learned so much about myself already and I have met some of the most inspiring people along the way. What I am learning the most is how to remain in the moment and not always be concerned about the past or the future. I'm sad that I'm already halfway through, but I am also excited to return to Radley and inspire the students to think and see differently. • I know I say this a lot but I am so grateful to have amazing people in my life that constantly inspire me and push me. 👏🏼 •••• #YoungDesigner#industrialdesign#servicedesign#solotravel#femaletravel#30under30
What's your favorite white sand beach?
During my #NaturallyDR trip, I had the pleasure of taking a boat across the Dominican Republic's gorgeous Ocoa Bay to Playa Blanca, a white-sand beach with warm waters for swimming. What's amazing about this place isn't just its natural beauty, but that it's completely unspoiled and void of tourists.
Seriously. If you're looking for some alone time in a beautiful place, this is your spot. Bonus tip: Before sailing off spend an afternoon at the gorgeous Ocoa Bay Vineyard & Winery. A tour of the property with wine tasting is a great pre-beach activity!
A big thanks to @nickargires for taking this awesome drone shot of myself, @hannahrheaume, @nomadicfare, @theclumsytraveler, @thelovelyescapist, @taylor_fuller and @drillinjourneys!
