Wild fennel granita, Ewe's milk mousse and strawberries. Glad to see the classic Clove Club puddings retained on the menu. A balancing act of temperature, textures and flavours.
Depois de uma jantar maravilhoso, com menu as cegas - só conhece o menu na hora - do @gastro.gamblers (fotos nos stories), um chá para ajudar na digestão e proporcionar uma boa noite de sono. 😪😪😪 Ingredientes:

Foeniculum vulgare, wild fennel , yesterday evening walk (with torch) with a strong aroma of wild fennel in the air. I love this herb! Usefull in the kitchen but on a long walk i like to chew on a fennel seed to freshen up my mouth. In the Mediterranean it is widely used as a spice but also a herbal medicine. I gathered some fennel pollen during the day as i found out that they are delicious to use in Mediterranean dishes. #fennel#wildherbs#mediterranean#gozo#eveningwalk#magical#wildflowers#hierbasaromaticas#naturelovers
We're down to tip number 9! If you particularly dislike anise or black licorice, this herb is not for you. For those with an adventurous palate, fennel is full of healthy phytoestrogens. If fennel is not available at your local grocery store, you can opt for fennel seed instead.

Lunch today was an exhibition of the garden and facilities for some special guests. So, I got some freshly harvested garden greens, and threw on top of it some sautéed garden #fennel (with pine nuts and raisins - bomb by itself!), dried cherry tomatoes, #smokedsalmon aaaaaaaand some homemade #bacon bits. Those little flecks of golden sunshine on the top? Those salt cured #eggyolks that I posted before! SO GOOD. The rolls I made for the side ("milk bread") were insane and I'm kicking myself for not taking a pic 🍴 #somuchyum#stuffinabowl#shitinabowl#itswhatsforlunch
If landscape is geography then this parcel of property in a suburban Texas hellscape is an orientation: this close to DFW and that far from downtown; that far from 1979 fever dreams of urban blight and this close to the "good" high school in the "good" school system - so close that, on foggy evenings in late fall, once the fig has lost its leaves, you can sit with your drink on the painted-white bench from Craigslist and hear the Charlie-Brown-teacher football game loudspeaker and the muted rumble of the crowd. // If autobiography, this is the landscape of exile: we landed here on this spit of earth four years ago when it was grass just grass and, demanding mystery, planted this and planted that until you could only take in so much at once: in exile, the Torah is the landscape scrolling before you. In exile, the Torah is the landscape and the landscape is the Torah. // A metaphor: your autobiography means something: something new: New Testament: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." Approved unto God. A workman, unashamed. Rightly dividing the word of truth. A Jew named Paul neé Saul writing his last letter to Timothy: a "completed Jew," as Jews for Jesus would later call a man like Paul who saw the light. My autobiography: I always hated Paul. In exile, you hate the landscape and the landscape hates you back. That is the metaphor: a geography of hate, turned inward. Flowering profusely. The Torah is exile, and flowers, and a longed-for Jerusalem always blooming; always just out of reach. #iPhone#Jerusalem#landscape#garden#Jesus#Torah#DFW#Texas#figs#plums#peaches#tomatoes#peppers#squash#cucumber#basil#pomegranates#thyme#asparagus#garlic#zaatar#fennel#roses#zinnias#exile#backyard#hate
Pizza Fusion was so delicious and long overdue. I ended up with heartburn though, which is something I haven't had in years! We don't have heartburn medicine and I'm definitely not buying any because, well, there's a oil for everything.
I rubbed a blend of essential oils on my sternum and upper stomach and in less than 5 minutes, the heartburn was gone.
There really is an oil for everything! Ryan and I host classes every month and would love to teach you about the many benefits and uses of essential oils.
In addition to feeding 91 families their weekly dose of organic veggies through my CSA program @winterfellacres , I also supply organic produce to area restaurants like @cowandquince who happen to get the first of my my baby summer squash this year!
