#Tempeh is a go-to #protein for me and I often recommend it to clients. This naturally #fermented#food has a great flavor and texture and offers 18g protein, 9g carbs, 11g fat, and 195 calories in a 100g serving. Tempeh is also loaded with calcium, vitamin D and K to build stronger bones. It is a great source B #vitamins and particularly B3 (niacin) that helps lower LDL. It is also a great source of minerals like copper and magnesium to help control blood sugar.
Tempeh can be baked, steamed, fried, grilled, and added to just about any protein based recipe. It picks up flavor well and is great to marinade and add to sandwiches, wraps, and bowls.
Here is one my favorite tempeh recipes to make TLTA (tempeh, lettuce, tomato, avocado) sandwiches
Arrabella's sweet and smokey tempeh
1 tsp braggs amino
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp natural maple syrup
1 tbsp EVOO
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
3 oz tempeh
Slice tempeh into 1/4 inch thick slices and set aside. Mix remaining ingredients and a small mixing bowl. Cover a baking sheet with tin foil and set oven to broil at 400 degrees. Coat each slice of tempeh with mixture and place on baking sheet with 1/2 inch between pieces. Broil 5-8 minutes or until browned on top. Use prongs to flip each piece and broil other side and 5 minutes. Let cool and use in sandwichs, wraps, and on salads and bowls.
It's time for some homemade #kombucha !!! If there was one thing I would recommend to someone to improve their #health it would be to start having #fermented food every single day.

Breakfast bowl vibes🕺🏻Tuesday is grocery day, so Tuesday morning is usually throw whatever you've got in a bowl for breakfast day 💁🏼 It turned out quite balanced and yummy! We've got massaged kale with Cultured Guru kimchi + home sprouted beans and seeds + baked spiraled potatoes + grapefruit + frozen raspberries 😋

I'm making Fermented Fizzy Lemonade. It is so easy and super tasty. I got the recipe from the @mortierpilon recipe book, available at Bradshaws right now if you buy a fermenting crock (which I ALSO made this in — I just wanted to show you an alternative way here).
