Fun Sunday field trip with our #homeschool support group. We learned all about pizza dough prep, kitchen safety and sanitation, the difference between ice cream and gelato, and more! I love the first few field trips of the new school year. We get to catch up with old friends while meeting new homeschooling families! #fieldtrip#support#homeschoolfriends

The Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, were two American brothers, inventors, and aviation pioneers who are generally credited with inventing, building, and flying the world's first successful airplane in 1903.
During the Inventor and Invention module of Scholars, youth participants explore the invention of the Airplane. Participants learn about the Wright Brothers and their many inventions that have changed the world today!
Connecting in-class learning experiences to real-world experiences is essential to Scholars core principal's. Participants visited Wilbur Wright Museum and Birthplace in Ohio. The Wright Brothers DREAMED the impossible as locals thought they were crazy for their attempts at flying. SEEKING the unknown left the brothers frustrated and ready to give up. Being resilient with their efforts allowed the Wright Brothers to ACHIEVE greatness! * Some of the photos are from the National Air Force Museum in Ohio. #Scholars#Inspiring#Youth#Inventors#Aviation#Activities#FieldTrip#WrightBrothers

Thanks to @brooksanncamper for organizing a field trip; I got to meet so many lovely sewing enthusiasts while marveling at couture designs!
This is why I won't eat a product containing animal ingredients. I can't ignore the fact that an animal's short life was spent in misery to become an ingredient. Newborn male chicks are grounded up alive because they are useless to the egg industry. Now THAT is extreme. We live in a country in which we can choose to leave animals off our plate. We have many food options. Can you justify slaughtering animals for a few minutes of pleasure? Although you may not be killing them yourself, you're paying someone else to do it. There is nothing in meat that we can't get from plants. You can do it! 👊 I've been vegan for 5 months. #Doitforyourhealth#theplanet#theanimals
