Autumn's foraging acrobat
We have squirrels in the trees behind our house - who knew they make such a racket? They raid our birds feeders, which are the squirrel proof ones but it doesn't stop them trying. Often dangling precariously trying to get at the sunflower kernels.
In another note our little squadron of Goldfinches has gone - they are no longer visiting the feeders - do they migrate?
When trees stand tall almost bare and lifeless at the end of the autumn season.
Their branches all twisted look like veins to me, all criss-crossing this way and that, forming a intricate framework. *to form a pattern of intersecting lines or paths // def.
