Gunyoung Kim is a ceramic sculptor interested in communicating the "subtle and spiritual" side of humanity using the human figure. Through facial expression, gesture, and disfigurement, she seeks to expose an inner psychology shaped by vulnerability, imperfection, and the subconscious. Much like poetry, every element is carefully implemented and yet interpretations will vary from viewer to viewer. It is this implied narrative that keeps us questioning ourselves and the world around us.
