One of my favorite things ever is putting printed photos into pictures frames or photo albums. These pictures are so special to me because this was our last photo session as a family of three. My awesome and talented friend @photography_hill took them for us and I'll be excited to see her next month while she's in Phoenix to make more photography magic! She's offering a Mother's Day special May 18-19 in the Phoenix area, so if you're a local mom who needs updated photos of you and your littles, hit her up! It would also make a pretty good Mother's Day gift for any fellow mom friends of yours. Check out @photography_hill 's account for more details! 🎞 #familyphotographer#filmisnotdead#filmphotography#photographyhill

I presented this work @photo_scratch on Monday it's still very much an ongoing process. It was the first time I've actually got up and spoken about the core of it, which is dealing which a diagnosis of bi polar disorder. I guess if you can say that to a room full of people, well fuck, things don't seem as daunting. At a time when people lose hope in politics i think it's important to remember who supports mental health and how important that is, no matter if that's friends, acquaintances, strangers, groups or the NHS. Everyone going through a tough time you aren't alone and thank you to the people who remind me of this. Be kind and compassionate. ( with your photography too please 😉) .
Something pretty for your Friday!
P.s can't wait for tomorrow's wedding with Hanako and Hugh! 😃 Hanako is the super talented florist from @hanakofloraldesigns who we have had the pleasure to work with over the past couple years. We're so excited to be there to capture her tie the knot with her special man!
Nestled in cloud forest at the base of the crater rim cliffs at the back of Haleakalā National Park, Palikū Cabin overlooks a horse pasture and keeps its quiet, sentinel eye on the Kaupo Gap. This was our home for two days. After a grueling couple of days and 15 miles of trekking through lava rock wilderness, the forest and meadows pop out from behind bleak black lava fields like an emerald oasis. Here, you find shady glens, spots for tent camping and the cabin which, sleeps twelve (though I don't recommend more than 8). It has an outhouse, kitchen, fire-burning stove and running water. It's almost like a 4 star hotel after bracing harsh elements of life in a volcano crater at 8-9,000 ft above sea level.
We need to protect our #nationalparks and Monuments from being destroyed or reverted to unprotected lands for private consumption. Any reversal of protected lands threatens the livelihood of almost 8 million employees of the parks system, not to mention, the animals and plants protected by these reserves. We need to protect where we play. Unspoiled and pure American nature is our heritage. We should keep it unspoiled for generations to come.

Augustus," I said. "Really. You don't have to do this."
"Sure I do," he said. "I found my Wish."
"God, you're the best," I told him.
"I bet you say that to all the boys who finance your international travel," he answered.
