Trying to decide which configuration of awesome to take with me when I travel is a myth.
Got 2 more Lacie 5TB Rugged #harddrives today! 🎬 👊🏻 These drives are fast and reliable. With all the traveling I do as a filmmaker I need gear that can take abuse. Been out shooting with my #djispark editing it in #davinciresolve and backing it up on these #killer drives. The perfect combo for filmmaking on the road.

Today I had a conversation with a work colleague and he told me that creative people "making it" or being "successful" is purely down to luck.
--- I had a hard time articulating what I wanted to say. The words "that's bull$%&!" came close.
We are conditioned to think that as a creative it's always a "right time, right place" scenario. This can be true for some but it completely misses out the fact that being successful (in any endeavour) requires focus, persistence, luck & doing the work. ---
Let's stop telling ourselves we just need luck to succeed. Instead focus on what you want. Go out there and give it your all. Take risks and when you do succeed you can tell everyone it wasn't just luck that got you there.
