In Oakland today for some allergy testing and stumbled upon this adorable little place. Turns out I'm not allergic to down feathers or cats like I thought 👏🏼, but I am allergic to grass, so there's that.
"It was the day I asked him what the color of his soul was. He answered me with indigo. He was so definite, so certain as though the question demanded of him an unshakeable answer. When he asked me in return, I retreated hesitantly. I was unexpectedly silent, so timid and perhaps afraid of saying something I didn’t mean. As though he could sense my uneasiness, he looked at me with the certainty I desired to possess. His eyes the color of confidence, his lips on the edge of a thought
and said, 'Amber. I think the color of your soul is amber.' It was then I knew. Amber, the very color that was radiating through my skin. A color I could not name, lost amongst words never said, merely thought. He was the electrifying, distinctive color of Indigo. And I was the warm, glowing color of amber
Our colors deep and vivid, strong and brilliant. Yet we were more beautiful apart. I was the the warm, glowing color of amber, desiring his love and suffering as a consequence." | Photo: @patrickgray_
Saying goodbye to my first summer as a full time travel blogger! ☀️🎉🌈💖⠀
This has actually been my favorite summer ever! It's been so freeing. Definitely one for the books! 💯 Being able to visit The Big Island, San Francisco, Boston, Maui, Florida & The Keys, Tulum, The Hamptons, Aruba, NYC, Vegas, The Gulf Coast, Paris, Eze, and Monaco has been incredible! Traveling gets you out of your comfort zone a little and for that I'm grateful! ❤️⠀
No matter what is going on in your life, I'll always recommend a plane ticket to somewhere new to help you get through it.✈️ #mondaymotivation ⠀
Even though it's officially fall, I'm still going to squeeze in a few more beach trips! So excited about our upcoming trips to Belize, Panama, London, Scotland, and Ireland! 👯⠀
🌎TAG your travel bestie below and let me know where you're going or plan to go next!!! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 #travelsquad ⠀
New week, fresh perspective... I wrote another op-ed. This time I am opening up about my personal fears in sharing moments from my life and why this (COH°) is the hardest thing I've ever done.

The last time I saw Pam we were both living in Florence, getting ready to leave it behind. Now we’re back together and not much has changed, except everything has. We’re different, yet the same in so many ways. What a blessing and a privilege it is to know this woman, to create with her, and to share such a deep connection as Florence was for both of us. Weekends like this one are so important. Reminiscing, reconnecting, just absolute nostalgia in the best way it could be. I'm serious guys... make the time, book the trip, catch the flight. Show up to the important moments of your life, make time for human connection.
Mark Twain said it best when describing his view while standing on this same hilltop: "I have never enjoyed a view which had such a satisfying charm about it as this one gives." If you visit Germany, I cannot recommend this village enough. Visit after visit it keeps stealing my heart. 😍
It's workshop day! Yay! 🙌🏽🤸🏽♂️💐 Stop by between 2:30 and 5:30 to make sage bundles with @sparklegardenjewelry. She's harvested lots of beautiful flowers and garden herbs and is ready to show you how to make your own smudge sticks. (Link in profile). Can't wait to see you 😽✌🏽

I've wanted to live inside this particular West Elm ever since I was in med school; the Panera across the street was my regular study spot. Everything else in the neighborhood has changed, but not this place. Here the same dream lives on. 🌿
