Identify your why. It will give your life purpose. This is my why. Here's to many more years of joy, plenty of laughter, perfect health and abundance in all aspects of our lives! Happy Birthday Mom and Dad! #findyourwhy#workhardplayhard#purpose
If I have learned one thing throughout this prep is that in order to keep going and stay motivated you gotta "find your why". What keeps you going, what makes you train and not cheat on your plan when you feel like you can't keep going. My why has been that I have given up so many times half way through the process and knowing I was stronger than that, as well as all those standing by my side. So go find your why, and kick some
Desk lunch life 🥗
Sometimes I go all out and cook and meal prep elaborate meals, and sometimes I throw some grilled chicken in with a salad and call it a day! 🙃 Find what works for you and just keep pushing ~ stick with what you KNOW you can do! ❣️
In Sanskrit, the word for ego is ahamkara, which means "the I maker." And sometimes the ego can be beneficial and other times it can be a detriment.
When it isn't serving our highest good, the ego can show up as some sort of hero complex- as entrepreneurs, our mind says, "I need/should/want to take care of this situation" or "I want to fix this so people can see my worth." However, it's not about us... at all.
In 2011, I thought I wanted to be famous like Padma Lakshmi - tv host, author, mother, model - and at first my ego encouraged me to do everything I could to make a name for myself, but then I took a step back bc my ego was getting inflated and I had lost track of my why.
Fame was ideal to me at the time however in retrospect, I actually just wanted to raise awareness about good local food and teach people all over the world; if fame occured due to my work than all the better bc that would've taken my message further... however, I wasn't as "woke" as I am today and I just wanted to be known at the time.
I started practicing yoga in 2012 and after a year my mindset shifted. I started taking the "I" out of the picture to get clear on my why bc I understood that we're all here for a specific reason and we all have a unique message to share ✨
As wellness entrepreneurs I'd love to learn what you're up to bc I know you have genuine motives to help the world (and even if you want to be famous that's totally cool bc it's nice to be recognized for your work) so for today's #36question ... Would you like to be famous? In what way?
See the first question in my previous post, and share you answer to question number 2 in the comments ✨
Sin duda uno de nuestros libros favoritos 🙌

Got to touch a copy of Find Your Why for the first time! So excited! Biggest complaint I get about Start With Why is I didn't put anything in to help people find their Why. Well...8 years later...fixed that. If you are interested, you can pre-order for Sept 5th release at your preferred online bookseller. Yay! (Thank you to @pdocker42 and @dmead7 for helping to bring this to life). #findyourwhy#companionguide#workbook#startwithwhy#newbook

Saw a story on Linked In. It struck me curious. Everyone has their own expectations, views, happiness... But some times we get caught up in the moment and enticed by what could be. Sometimes, we're comfortable sweeping floors, shaking hands and talking to strangers that pass by, others are comfortable reaching CEO status. But for me, I'm with Steve, I like my quality time with my daughter, my time I'm able to have with my closest friends. I've been asked a few times "Why don't you become a boss?" Like Steve I know the Consequences... No free time, no extra days off, dedicated to work rather than of my family. I'm in a position that suits me and my personality. No it's not the highest paying job but I have my perks. It allows me to devote time to family and my other business ventures. So next time a colleague or upper management asks if I want to move up, I'll give them the same answer. It's not worth it 😊 #WhatsYourPurpose#DCgetFit#Business#Nurture#FindYourWhy#TimeFreedom#BeYourOwnCEO
These are just two of the wonderful people I get to see this weekend for the first time since camp, and I can’t even begin to contain my excitement about it! I’m thankful for you two and your constant love every single day, I’d be lost without y’all💕 #findyourwhy#workforwinshapemakefriendslikethese
“Joel is 12 years old and completely deaf and mute. I felt sad seeing him struggling to communicate when I first met him, but after getting to know him I felt nothing but respect and admiration for the kid. He is the best at every single thing he does. Whether it be in school, helping us build latrines, or playing baseball, he works harder than anyone else and does it better than anyone else. I find myself unable to make excuses anymore.” - @mitch_ramos12 #FindYourWhy
The Megaformer was a bit intimidating the first time I saw it. 😳 Then I stepped onto it and wasn’t sure if I felt steady. But to my surprise, I was! And it wasn’t as scary as I thought. 🤓 It gave me an intense workout and I was sore within the day, but a few days later I was back on it and now I wake up thinking about it! This workout is like any other I’ve ever done. 💯 This week, you get your chance to try it too. Click the 🔗link in our bio and sign up for a free class! You won’t regret it!
'You Only Live Once Is False. You Live Everyday, You Only Die Once.'
A very popular saying in today's world: you only live once. So do it now!
Unfortunately this is false, and teaches instant gratification. The truth is you have an opportunity to live everyday you open your eyes. Now I'm not saying you should take your days for granted, but by maximizing your opportunities each day, one day you'll wake up to something great💪

It's hard to find motivation to eat healthy and workout. I know for a fact. It's even hard for me. It was hard when I lost 50 pounds before baby. It's hard now with my little human. .
You know what helps me? My list. A list of all the reasons why I want this lifestyle to work. They range from superficial to very deep reasons.
I highly encourage to make YOUR list. You will find that it will be a LONG list. Write down every single reason why you want to be healthy and fit. Every single reason. .
Keep this list close to you. You can write it down and hang it somewhere where you will see it often (on the fridge is clever 😅). You can also type it and put it in your notes. Or you can even take a photo and put it as your wallpaper! 😉 Extra points if you share it with someone...that will motivate you for sure! .
Every time you want to give up or fall off the wagon, read your list. It will pumped you up. It will remind you of your many WHYS. All those reasons are more powerful than your excuses. 💗 #youcandothis#findyourwhy#aracelyspostpartumjourney
Today is a Tuesday.
It’s the PERFECT DAY to make a commitment to your health & wellness.
Frankly - ANY day is a good day to start or to re-commit.
Don’t wait till NEXT MONDAY -> that’ll be another week wasted.
Make today matter by making better choices, speaking more positively to yourself and others, smile at everyone whether you want to or not.
You can do it!! By the way -> I still have those 10lbs to lose, so today a friend & I have started my FAVORITE 3-day program that helps get me back on track & re-committed to my healthy habits!
If we can do it - so can YOU!!!! #mylife#healthyhabits#dancemom#karatemom#figuringitout#helpingothers#3daycleanse#day1#notetoself#motivation#tuesdaytruths#findyourwhy
The time has finally come that I show you my overall results from my fitness journey!!! .
Posting these pictures were really hard for me due to how that beginning picture looks. I couldn’t believe I let myself go that bad. And it’s funny because I felt decently happy and didn’t feel that bad when I looked in the mirror. However you show me a picture and I couldn’t believe that was me. These pictures side by side brought up so many emotions but the biggest was just pure happiness. Sure, a few sad tears but mostly happy ones were shed when I saw that picture of me. I couldn't believe how far I've come. How finally finding my passion has helped me stay on track to a happier and healthier me. I found my "why". And I'm never letting go of this lifestyle change. .
I started my journey last thanksgiving. Yes, you heard that right I decided to start my fitness journey the week of thanksgiving 😳! Was I a little crazy? Probably because who doesn't love food during the holidays. But I finally said enough is enough I just want to be happy in my own skin again. I no longer suffer from eating everything that's in front of me especially sweets that never truly satisfied me. I'm not saying I don't indulge from time to time on a sweet but certain ones just don't satisfy that sweet tooth anymore and it's amazing! I'm no longer controlled by my inner mean girl telling me I'm unworthy, just eat it, don't try that because you can't do it, etc. Whenever she tries to show her ugly face I've learned to stop her in her tracks! 👊🏼 Inches are gone forever! I’ve surpassed my first goals and ready to be even stronger. .
This is me! And I'm ready to rock even better results because there's nothing stopping me now 💃🏻 what’s stopping you from putting yourself first?! Stop making your excuses and make them your WHY! .
Here’s me completing the toughest obstacle of the weekend. Literally 😤
This weekend was an eye opener. Part of me wants to start training for @ninjawarrior again. I received a call back from the CLE auditions to revamp my tape, but it felt funny bc I thought I delivered my message well, so I psyched myself out and assumed I wasn’t “Hollywood” enough. I never did a 2nd edit. It was bittersweet when the ninjas came to town bc they are all great athletes and cool people, but the camaraderie was lacking big time. The positivity felt empty and the training was everyone watching each other with no corrections or modifications, just cheering when someone did something impressive. It’s the exact opposite of OCR in my opinion. I’d love to hear the thoughts of others.
I share my story bc my bipolar disorder skews my perception often, so I have to take a step back and reflect frequently. I can develop paranoia’s, awful social anxieties and irrational thinking patterns. However I want to use my “illness” to concur this fear. I want to put myself out there more and share my battle, both in fitness and what’s happening between my ears. All in the hopes that someone somewhere will understand that bipolar disorder isn’t the end. It’s possible to be a functional member of society. You can do it. 💪🏼❤️
Really though, with a long history of ankle problems I’m so pumped to walk away from @ocrwc injury free. Thanks for a life changing experience.

Just gonna drop this here ✌🏻
I’ve had plenty of times where I’ve felt “ready” and I set a “start date” and I go all in and guess what? Life happens, and excuses happen, and if I “ruin” one meal or one day I throw in the towel. It’s still a major learning process for me but I’m teaching myself to rethink and to know that there’s no such thing as “being ready” ~ there will ALWAYS be those temptations or those struggles or those slip-ups. ALWAYS. But you know what I AM ready for? To stop giving up on myself! To stop setting new dates to restart and thinking I can be perfect. Because guess what? THERE’S NO SUCH THING!
No more waiting and restarting for the rest of my life. I am saying yes to TODAY and to making the best decisions I can every single DAY. And if I mess up? To accepting it and letting go ~ to moving on.
Here’s a different #transformationtuesday for ya ~ I’m transforming my MIND 🙌🏻💫 I hope you will, too!
New Challenge Alert 🚨 The point of this challenge is not to depress you in any way but to motivate you to get out of debt sooner. Most people know that one of the reasons I want to get out of debt is because I love to travel and I want to be able to afford to do that without having to pay for it with a credit card. In a year I was able to pay $20,000 worth of debt and I wanted to know what I could actually afford if I didn’t have to pay debt. Well if you slide to the left I could visit 18 different cities in 5 different countries in 58 days or 2 months all for $13,000 and still have another 7k left which could be just enough to build a 3-6 month emergency fund. My challenge is to think of some creative ways that you could have used the money you paid towards debt to and hopefully that will inspire you to pay this debt off and give yourself a proper raise. Why spend years paying down this debt living paycheck to paycheck when you can sacrifice a couple things now to live the life you dream about in no time. #findyourwhy
Woke up feeling 👎🏻 again today so loading Jen and I up on our superfoods 🌱🍄 for the day 💚 And because I couldn’t get myself out of bed this morning 😫this is me putting it out there that I owe MYSELF a workout tonight! ✊🏻
I was never a morning person - ever.
But when you have big goals and your WHY outweighs your excuses, you find your HOW! ❤️ And that means getting my butt up early enough to get my personal development in, connect with some amazing people, drink my magic lemon booster and push play on my workout! All of this makes me a better person and gets me one step closer to my personal and business goals. It’s what makes me happy 😊
On that note- I’m headed down now to get er done! Goals don’t get achieved by sleeping in- even on your birthday 😊😁😀 Www.cariarena.com
A book is a gift you can open again and again. And, to celebrate last month's release of our life-changing book #BlueprintforHealth , we've picked five more that never, ever stop giving.
Start With Why by Simon Sinek
Way Of The Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman
The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k by Sarah Knight
Mastery by Robert Greene
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
Each has been picked by one of our BODYISM team for the single reason that it changed their lives. It helped them identify their why, their reason to be, their #ikigai , if you will.
As a result, it’s shaped a powerful, motivated and positive mindset, which we believe is the first step towards making positive changes to your body, your health and your happiness.
Take a leaf out of their books and add these life-changing gems to your reading list. Visit the BODYISM blog to find out why.
