Climbing to the #Tamatea , on the #Dusky#Track , #Fiordland NP, #NZ
"This difficult tramping track between Lake Hauroko and Lake Manapouri offers huge lakes, gushing rivers, vast forested valleys and lots of mud for experienced and well equipped trampers."
The Gertrude saddle! It's as impressive as Lake Marian if not even better. Can one really compare? Have you been up both?
The walk itself is much longer, but worth the effort on a good day. I've been up a few times in average weather, its still nice but you don't get this view.

We spent 3 nights at the end of Bligh Sound anchored up in the boat next to this epic waterfall 😍 One thing that really stood out to me in Fiordland was the waterfalls, after a bit of rain the steep hills were covered in thousands of waterfalls!
If you visit Milford Sound and go out on a boat, chances are your captain will cruise right up under this waterfall and if you’re so wild and reckless as to stand on the foredeck as I did, then chances are you will come out of that experience literally looking like a drowned rat but that won’t matter because WATERFALL and SCENERY and omg Milford is literally the most amazing natural environment in the world and WOW WOW WOW!!! 🛥💦🌏🏔 #OrangeKitchenTravels in Fiordland National Park, New Zealand (December 2017) 🇳🇿
