Leg day Thursday! Focused on mainly glutes today with some quads cause squats. 💁🏼 Im finding it difficult to up my weight each week with squats. Buuuut I'm going to keep working at it! I also spent way to much time at the gym today workout out all my problems. Lifting is deff my therapy!

Had a crazy busy last couple of days with 5am training sessions and workouts and everything else. Now I get to eat lots of food and roll my legs out because they already hurt from my workout this morning 😅 and answer client emails! Let me know if you plan on going to the Arnold next week! This throwback Thursday/transformation is very very special to me. I haven't yet shared this with any of my followers yet, so this will be the first time you're getting the scoop. This transformation is not of weight or muscle. I discovered in November that I had severely low iron numbers. I was losing hair left and right and it was doing a number on my self confidence. I had also come off of birth control to be hormone free in august, and it sent me through a hormonal spiral the first semester of this year, which didn't help. I did copious amounts of research. Tried handfuls of different supplements. I tried anything I could think of to cure this problem. You never really realize how much a part of you your hair is until you start to lose it. I never gave up, however. I kept researching and kept trying. Ultimately, I knew that nothing was going to change overnight. Nothing ever does. But if I was consistent and calm, I could beat the low iron. I am currently taking desiccated beef liver, a hair multivitamin, and vitamin c, along with my usual b-complex and magnesium. I also experimented with my diet. Upping my diet with foods that are higher in iron. I've been eating smoked oysters or steamed muscles every other day, and on the days I don't have those, I'll have grass fed ground beef. I wanted you to see these side by side photos because LOOK! My hairline is filling in and I have baby hairs all over my head! I'm losing way less hair in the shower and things are finally working. These pictures are only a few weeks apart, and the reason I got the short haircut in the first place was to try and give my hair the time it needed to grow back with less tangles and less of me pulling on it. One of the best and worst things about keto is that it really brings to light your body's problems. I had no idea I had such low iron. But I never gave up on keto. The first thing the doctor said to me was to stop the keto lifestyle. It's a shame that they weren't willing to help me more. But that's why it's so exciting! You become your own detective. And throughout this process, I've learned more about my body than I ever have before. Give yourself a chance to know your body
Can we please take a minute to look at this PACE!?!?!?! I never break a 10 min mile and I did this without trying! My strength training and speed work is really helping! Granted this was only a 15 min run as part of my 20 week half marathon plan, not sure I could keep this pace going for longer than 20 or 30 min but I'll call this a non scale victory #nsv#runner#running#girlswhorun
37ish days until my first powerlifting meet and my squats are still pathetic as fuck. My max is only around 150, and I feel very self conscious about how much weaker it is than my bench and deadlift. I'm going to add as much weight as I can in the next few weeks to try to close the gap a bit, even if it means less growth on my deadlift. #squats#meetprep#legday
#tbt to the #arnoldclassic last year. It was my first time going and I decided to go at the last minute, by myself. It was scary and exciting and worth it. But I booked the ticket, found a hotel, and just went.
If you're thinking about going this year but you're too scared because you don't know anyone, DO IT! Just know that Saturday gets super crowded (for those who don't do crowds).
