I should've posted this yesterday for #transformationtuesday , but here it is. Same place, two years apart. On the left, I had reached my heaviest weight ever. On the right, I'm over 40 lbs lighter. Though I have a long way to go, my poses in each speak volumes. On the left I was wearing an oversized men's jacket to cover my stomach and I clearly didn't want to take the pic (hands in pocket, weird leg pose). On the right, I felt happy and confident and didn't feel the need to make myself look smaller with timid poses. The body transforms, but how the mind transforms is so much more powerful! #bodypositive
After what seems like the longest day ever, I came home and made miracle noodles for the first time. Yes they smell awful - but I knew that (thanks to all the wonderful insta-keto-peeps) so I rinsed them for a long time and then sautéed them in butter and garlic with pintys chicken breast, topped with Parmesan cheese and had a true comfort meal. It was amazing!!!! I will definitely buy these again! So I counted the days since my last real workout and it was like 10 days ago 😅. Shit happens all the time for me and I really need to stop letting it affect my schedules and goals etc. (unless I literally can't eat anything like this past 7 days.) __________________________________________________
I honestly thought my leg day today would be worse as far as strength goes but I was actually surprised that I was still able to lift the same amount and fairly the same amount of reps too. I did get tired a lot faster though. Which sucked! I was having a hard time breathing and I almost felt a little nauseous. But I think all of it is just a mix of me getting back on keto after 5-6 whole days of barely eating and eating only carbs AND bein out of the gym for like 10 days. Also, my mouth is still in the healing process and I honestly dont think I should over work myself in the first place 😅. Anyways, all in all I guess everything's good. Motivation is present...now I just need to push forward and stay consistent!
I was feeling sick to my stomach yesterday (I will be honest I thought I had salmonella because I had a raw egg yolk in my smoothie 😬😂) and by 8pm I was hungry but nothing sounded good. So this was my keto friendly snack before bed. It hit the spot and did the job.
My body is starting to produce more ketones 🙌🏻 I am finding this amazing that I'm eating more than ever (hello fat!), not tracking a single macro and my body is heading in the right direction. Another pound down even during flo week 😉 I'll take it. I'm gonna sing from the mountain tops that I feel free! 💃🏼🎉🎊💥
••• P R E P A R A T I O N •• I S •• K E Y ••• In order to be successful, you truly need to plan. Plan your meals, plan for fasts, plan your workouts and plan for travel. It takes #discipline and it's not easy but it is SO worth it and so are you. I've gotten into a Sunday routine where I cook my foods and keep them in separate containers. Then every week night I pick what I feel like the next day, weigh it out, check it's macros/calories and pack it up for work! I don't like to plan my specific meals on Sunday because who knows what my body may need or feel like- but every one has their own method! As long as you plan, that's all that matters. Breaking my 21 hour #fast today with a spinach salad with oil and red wine vinegar, rotisserie chicken, feta, parmesan cheese and hard boiled eggs! Over halfway to my weight goal! Woohoo! Even with traveling two weekends in a row and with a hurricane thrown into the mix, following a #ketolifestyle has helped me shed pounds even on vacation. The keto diet may not be for everyone, but it works very well for me because I like what I eat so much! Doesn't even feel like a diet anymore. It's just my life!
Four miles this morning and a shoulder lift- feeling great! Ive been running #distance with #speedwork and moderate distances mixed throughout while lifting 4-5x a week- chest, shoulders, arms, legs [sometimes skip because of my mileage] and back. •Steering Wheels (take a plate and hold it like a steering wheel, turn left for one rep and right for a second rep) completed 4x30

If you have seen Rick and Morty than you know the significance of this awesome cake I made my little bro last weekend for his dirty 30 bday. What's really significant to me in this picture is that one of the girls at the party told me she has worked hard her whole life to have legs like mine. It really got me to thinking. Because the girl who said it has long beautiful legs much like what I always wanted growing up. But with my giant quads I was always the girl doing the lifts in ballet class... haha. What I'm getting at is I'm finally starting to understand how important it is to embrace you body you have and just make it strong as hell. 🔥FEELING GREAT ALERT🔥 It's Sunday morning and today I planned to check and reflect my progress for the week. Last weekend I felt bad about myself, fell out of ketosis and had a binge. This week I promised myself to get back on track, and I truly have been focused and deliberate. Yesterday I completed a Tough Mudder with co-workers and had a lot of fun, got in a great workout, and prepped all my food to eat after. I definitely fought with myself to stay away from the celebratory beer (I love beer)... but I did! 🤗 This morning I weighed in at 147.2 and also measured my blood ketones and was at 1.0 first thing this morning! 🙌🏽 I am so happy, feel motivated, and cannot wait to kick ass this week! As you can see from the beginning of my fitness journal entry, I am also excited for some Sunday Football 🏈 (can this Sunday get any better?)
