I'm super proud of this lift. Never in my life did I think I'd be able to deadlift 415lbs x 2.
It was just one of those days where I was feeling strong and kept adding weight. I remember thinking holy crap I'm going to pull over 400 pounds! I'm still in shock that I did.
I feel there's a life lesson in this. If you don't try how are you going to know what you're capable of. You're stronger than you think.
Have you ever seen a prettier salad 😍 this is a brussel sprout salad with almonds and cheese and I had some salmon added. Yes it has some dried berries. No it didn’t kill me. So so yummy! Arizona gets an A+ for keto friendly foods!
This part of the interview got deep quickly. If you’re looking to get fit and healthy, and to live in your virtues and not your vices, then I highly recommend you check out the full interview at the link in my bio. Remember, you are not alone, and every little bit of wisdom and inspiration helps.
Also, for those of you out there right now who are under immense pressure to be something you’re not; or perhaps life has thrown a huge health, substance or relationship challenge your way, and you feel like you’re about to snap, just hang in there.
I know it sounds cliché; and it is, but what doesn’t kill us does actually make us stronger if we can push through it, and here’s why.
Picture going to the gym and only lifting 5 lb dumbbells every day. Yeah, you might grow your muscles slightly the first week, but after that, you’ll obviously need to add more weight if you want any additional muscle growth.
Well, our emotions work the same way, and this is exactly why my personal hero @darrenjhardy always says that our adversity is our advantage.
Why? Because it serves as the emotional training ground NECESSARY to build the emotional strength and muscle required to accomplish extraordinary things.
So if life’s got you up against the ropes right now, keep fighting. Don’t choose the avoidance or the escape, and instead, fight through the pain in an effort to become stronger physically, mentally and emotionally.
As another hero of mine says, @etthehiphoppreacher, pain is temporary. It may last for a minute, or an hour, or a day; or even a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take it’s place. If I quit, however, it will last forever.
Meet Ziggy 🐶 • The thing about these shoes is that I paid $6 for them from vinnies because I couldn’t pack runners • It was raining and cloudy but these two pictures are the perfect opportunity to remind you that the day is what you make it and there aren’t really ever any good excuses
