So something happen to me the other day that I'd love to share especially with other personal trainers that I follow/follow me. .
I was introduced to a new potential client who works with a friend of mine. She was impressed with my friends results as she has lost a fair amount of weight since training with me.
I met this potential client for a coffee, she was really nice and we had great conversation and general chit chat, I felt for sure this is lady is gonna be one of my clients we really hit it off...... or so I thought.
I met my friend for lunch and told her I met with her co-worker. "Oh yeah about that ****** doesn't think she's gonna go ahead with the personal training thing" I was like why? I could see my friend was a little hesitant to tell me the truth. "Well she said because you're from East London, she didn't really want a trainer from East London" 😂 my mouth was wide open, I didn't know what to say so I just laughed! I thought wtf? Like literally! 😂😂 oh well babe your loss eh! 😂😂😂😂 .
I've never been ashamed of where I come from, and neither should anyone else. I didn't grow up with a silver spoon in my mouth. I went to school like everyone else. I studied hard like everyone else. I worked in shitty jobs before doing what I love just like most people have. I speak with a cockney accent (if you're British you'll know what this is, if you're American google it 😄) I have tattoos, I came from a rough neighbourhood, the wrong side of the tracks. But I'm not robbing anyone's homes or stealing old ladies bags! 😂😂 .
My lesson from this, if this ever happens to you (I hope it doesn't!) is to take it on the chin, and never feel you have to be somebody else to get anywhere. Be true to yourself and don't sugar coat any bullshit for anybody. 💪🏻✌🏻🏋🏼♀️

Did a swimming lesson at work today with my student and so proud we achieved 550m together I just forgot to start my watch ⌚️🍎🏊🏻♀️ I had to rush from work to my sons school for a open evening event he is doing a speech to represent the school 👦🏽😬🌟and I look like a drown rat haha always rushing around mum life, work life, single parent.
Just wrapped a little work in my accountability group and about to break for a massive cup of love🍦💚 before I crush my daily at home workout🏋🏼♀️ It's legit one of my favorite 🤸🏼♀️parts of the day bc I just jam out 🎤🎶.....dance like a fool in between sets😜and I get to be the kind of person I kind of was pre-kids all while I work on becoming the strongest Mama I can for them🙌
I forgot to post my little jam from yesterday...y know... "Mom Brain"... it happens right🤷♀️ So here is it!
Don't be intimidated by the jumps or the weights...both are totally optional when doing these moves.
You can drop the jump and the weights to create a workout that's lower in impact.
Or you can Up your weights for additional resistance and really challenge yourself💫💫 Don't have weights....No problem!
I didn't have weights at our cabin last week, but I did have water bottles...soup cans even work.
Don't hold yourself back from getting started by thinking about all the stuff you don't have or where you are currently at.
Look around, work what you have and be grateful for the abilities you possess now💕
Strength, more things....and a better version of you is on the way...as long as you work towards them🙌

A transformation is WAY more than the physical weight or inches lost . . . . unfortunately, that's the only thing that others can see. 😳
What they don't see is the confidence, self love and overall wellness . . . 💕
PLUS an increase in energy, less stress (😏), better sleep, excitement to shop for new clothes👗, being OK with looking at yourself in the mirror 😁 and SO much more! .
Over the past few years I've learned this to be WAY more important than going from a size 10 to a size 2.
This transformation in mindset and self confidence is also something that I can now try to instill in my own daughter. 💥 Strength 💥 Courage 💥 Determination 💥 Commitment
I NEVER ever would have taken photos of me in a bathing suit 👙or even workout clothes!
I have very few pics of me with my kids when they were younger - I'd hide behind the camera 📸 and focus ONLY on them! 👫
So although it's not easy, if you want to make a change you must change your mindset - shut down the negative self-talk and maintain a positive attitude.
Your body will only go where your mind leads you.

Are you frustrated at losing weight only to put the weight back on? Are you struggling to budge that last 10-15 pounds to fit into your favorite outfit? (up on the top shelf) 🙄
Chances are, you are going about it the wrong way, either having unrealistic expectations or losing weight in such a way that makes it difficult to maintain your weight loss.
Going balls to the walls, making huge changes quickly will set you up for disaster. Its too difficult to stay at that pace. You burn out! 🙅🏻 The vast majority of people who lose weight regain it, and most people who get fit, get unfit. (truth) I've done it so many times! 😩😩 Holding on to what you’ve achieved ALL comes from your MINDSET.
If in the past, you have not maintained the results that you have achieved, you need to discover WHY you have self-sabotaged – and ONLY YOU know that.
It can be hard to figure it out too!
Believe it or not the amount of people who are consistent in improving their health daily is small.
Because its easier to get fast food and sit on the coach and make up excuse after excuse.
It’s worth the effort because you are worth it! You deserve to have the body and the quality of life that you desire.
So, go ahead. Make the changes that you need to make TODAY and create your best life now.

This is how today's workout was achieved... mini was super cranky, teething still!! As you can see this worked for us both.. she finally fell asleep and I got in a killer leg 🔥 workout. I think she is about 18lbs incase anyone is interested. Here is my workout 5x rounds - static lunges 15 each side, squat 15, using heavy resistant band 30 side steps, heavy resistance band standing kick back 20 each side, heavy resistance ribbon band 20 bicep curls and 20 over head tri extensions. Then as a leg finisher at the end 50x lunge pulses each side and 50x squat pulses. I'm not a trained professional this is just something I made up to get me moving when times were hard with the mini. .
