Never forget where you started ☝🏼Over the past year, I've had several guys ("hard gainers") ask me why they aren't able to put on any quality mass. They tell me they eat all the time and train 4-6 times a week; however, I later find that their overall calories are still around maintenance or below and they aren't overloading their muscles or using proper technique with their training. I understand that this whole process is trial and error and there's always a more scientific approach, but I'm a huge advocate for eating a ton (200-300 kcal above maintenance) and training until your body literally says ✋🏼that being if you want to put on size.
Who can guess how much I weighed in the picture on the left back in 2011? 😂

Gather 'round kiddos. @fatgirlfedup has a story to tell:
STORY TIME: When I started my journey 1/1/16 at almost 500lbs I didn't have a trainer, nutritionist, know how long to workout for, know which plan to follow or how many calories to eat, have alot of fitness friends, or even enjoy cooking - but I did have a desire to change. Just because you don't have the answers doesn't mean you shouldn't start. You have to take steps in the right direction and learn as you go. I decided to join a Dietbet (picture on left was my first weigh in) to keep me focused and accountable for the first month. The first 30 days are the hardest. Dietbet helped me find a support system, recipes, others pushing for the same goals, and a way to stay on track. Why not bet on yourself? Thats why I host, i've done a dietbet almost every month of my journey & I know they are a great weightloss tool. Bet $30 you can lose 4% of your weight in a month and if you do split the pot with the other winners! Win money, lose weight with me, share tips/recipes, and take steps in the right direction to be a healthier you! Dietbet starts April 11th & I will also be giving away prizes from @realgoodpizza @proteinmilkshake! Link in bio, leave emails below or dietbet.com/fatgirlfedup
Oh, angles.... 🙈🙉🙊I do NOT have a small waist. But, you gotta work with what you've got! Having a personal celebration today because this is the first time I have put shorts on in a year. I started my fitness journey because I started crying wearing shorts one day because I was so uncomfortable. Train to make your body look the way YOU want! I haven't done any isolated quad work in YEARS and focus in my training to let them atrophy. I am so proud of myself for learning to love my legs and appreciate them. Embrace your body for what it is, and it will start working with you instead of against you #fitfam
