Today has been a huge milestone for me in terms of how far I have grown in the fitness industry
..🔴Sep 2016🔴
This time last year I had walked into STPT with €20 to live off, the scrapings of a month's rent and a little banger of a car to get me to and from the gym safe to say winging it with 1 client 🙈 (there was days I walked down to not spend the pennys i had on my petrol)

Really not knowing where I
was going to go with it all but knowing somehow I would make a living from helping people.

Fast forward 1 year to the date

I have a client base of 25+ ✔

The most loyal and hard working clients I could ask for🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♂️ A HUGE knowledge of training and nutrition from alot of countless hours of study & practice✔

One of the best team's of trainers around me to learn and grow with @STPT✔

And a unstopable mindset that I know any oppertunity is possible once my mind is in the right place 🥇

And I have a small few to thank for it all because I wouldnt be here if it wasnt for you all so thank you for everything.

If we truly want to train the core the way it is designed to work, we need to get off of the floor and train the muscles from a standing position so they learn how to stabilize the body in a field of gravity. Some of my favorite core exercise are done using ViPR.

On Tuesdays I focus on some core work.
For the longest of time Navasana was not available to me. I could barely hold the half version with legs bent, and I would usually start to cramp in my hips pretty soon.
Being human, I tried avoiding it altogether but every time one of my teachers included it in their flow, I was faced with it once again. 
Clearly avoidance wasn't helping. Only practice would. So I started practicing it, and practicing it, and practicing it some more. 
And this pic is pretty much where I got with it. Far from perfect but no more cramping and my legs are straight(ish). ✌🏻😌
I foresee a lot more Navasana practicing in my future: nothing works your abs as much as it does!

So lads, I have had 2 nasty accidents with my back over the years.  As you probably know I struggled to event stand up for almost a year.  I was in such a bad way one time.  Surgeons wrote me off and told me I'd never lift more than a bag of sugar again.

However, I didn't accept or believe this thankfully and rehabbed myself.

Here is an exercise which not only strengthens your entire spine but also stretches calves and hamstrings.  Tight calves and hamstrings put extra strain on your spine.

I recommend doing it body-weight only in the beginning, nice slow reps, moving from the head all the way down through the spine.

Our feet should be widest at the toes, however modern shoes are widest at the ball and then narrow towards the toes 😱 If you have a bunion or just a foot thats widest at the ball and not at the toes my advice is to wear these lads to help stretch your feet back to their natural shape(try them anyway your feet feel amazing after)...
