Starting the morning right 👌. I find that training in the mornings not only motivates me early on but gives me that energy kick that makes the rest of the day seem like a breeze. Plus when work is done and it's time to head home I know I can relax rather than worrying about my evening gym session. Have a wicked start to the week everyone and smash that morning routine 😆.
Topic: Workout Intensity
Today I was thinking about all the posts I see addressing workout intensity. While high intensity workouts are important, I think a more important topic is simply showing up for the workout.
The “give it your all or nothing” approach to workout intensity may actually prevent the workout altogether - the worst case scenario. You’re not going to be feeling it everyday - just yesterday I had a workout that was not the most intense, but still felt so great to get in. I started juxtaposing how I felt after the workout with how I would have felt had I skipped it. The contrast was major, because something is better than nothing. If you back out of a workout because you feared you couldn’t give it your all, your gap from where you are to where you want to be widened far more than if you would have struggled through your sets.
Whatever you got in the tank, give it. 70%, 60%, 50%…all outweigh 0%.
It's not that I'm out of shape, definitely not, it's just that @ingrida.fit hates me and wants to punish me beyond belief with this workout. And all for reasons unknown to modern science. 😧
But I guess if you want results... At least that's what @ramariann does and it seems to work a treat for her.
Practice practice practice and more practice when I step on someone stage I plan on stepping off with the best physique of the night I'm working harder and harder everyday to achieve that if you want it you'll work for it and I'm definitely working for it
* DEUTERONOMY 31:8* *Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged* This may be a long post but I promise it's worth it lol. First of all, I. Cannot. Believe. I. Wore. Shorts. To. The. Gym. (I wore shorts in public at my night class a month ago and was sweating bullets lol, no joke 😂) For years I have been so insecure of showing my legs. Even when I was younger and played soccer. I always thought they were too thick/flabby/and I hated to show my ankles. I know weird. But hey we all have insecurities. I was also insecure about my genetic varicose veins (but drinking water and my compression socks have helped reverse those a lot!!) I would only tell a hand full of people I knew about this and they would always look at me funny. But I lost over 30 lbs, started weight lifting and today I finally feel confident and comfortable in my own skin. There are so many goals I still want to accomplish but I am happy where I am now with my body. There are times when you should take a leap of faith and get out of your comfort zone. Then there are times when you listen to yourself and wait to do what you want when the confidence is there. Listen to you body and soul and you'll be amazed at the outcome. The pic of me in the green shorts was about 4 years ago. #StayHungry#StayHumble and most importantly, through CHRIST, all things are possible. 💪🏼

It’s the last Sunday of the month! Join us for our Intro to Yoga Workshop in San Marcos at 1:30pm + bring a friend for free to all BFit and EDGE locations, all day.
Yoga event details are on our FB page.
Thank you @ellieactivewear for giving me all the yoga gear I need! Doing yoga was just what I needed after a stressful week. I am the least flexible person so the yoga block was much needed.
I also restarted bbg this last week. I will be going through 1.0 and 2.0. If anyone wants to be part of an accountability group, message me and we could get something started.
