T H A N K Y O U. ❤️
behind the making of a good flight steward/stewardesses are the many people who have quietly assisted us in flourishing this career of ours. or perhaps for some, a dream of ours. they are our unsung heroes. whom sacrificed sleep + rest, waking up in the wee hours of the morning - to ensure that we get to the airport on time before sign on and sending us to hotel swiftly, to get maximum rest after a hard day's work in the aircraft.
i was at the hotel lobby (as usual, heaps earlier to get my coffee fix!) and there i saw our driver, squeezing time to have brekkie in his van, arriving from the airport with the incoming crew. barely 20min before the outgoing crew has to go, and back again for him to drive back to the airport. all he had was an apple!! thats brekkie. 😢
"sir, can i get you coffee, i insist! you need a drink to wash down the throat" i said. "well, i dont want to impose on you, its alright." humbly he said.
i still went on to get him a cup of flat white + i have nvr seen the brightest smile of the morning, just over a cuppa. he was sharing with me whilst waiting for the rest, that he is due for retirement and have a week left with the company. although looking forward, he will miss the good crew who is always so polite and waking up late, is tough now, he said. ⚫
that ride to the airport this morning, had me thinking, with tears in my eyes. many things ran through my mind of how we take things for granted and here we have someone who lived his day, passionate about sending/receiving crew to/from the airport, enjoying the simplest pleasures even if it means of driving, and made it worth while! ⚫
in their profession, they too have sacrificed their time, away from family + friends, just to ensure that we do good in ours.
should our drivers be late, learn emphathy. when a driver assist you with your 27kgs luggage, pls say THAAAAAAANK YOU! or perhaps, if love + positivity coats your day, do bring a smile to their faces. it cost nothing to bring joy to a #serviceprovider whom work doubly hard than us, to bring food to the table for his/her family.
to you sir, tx you from all of us! ❤️
Happy Monday!!! You know what they say... never miss a Monday workout! So here goes one that will get your heart pumping, give you a challenge and will be over in less than 20 minutes.
- perform one exercise for 20 seconds then rest for 10 seconds (beginners do 15 seconds work/ 15 seconds rest) and repeat that 20/10 second interval 8 times before moving on to the next exercise.
- go from one exercise to the next with little to no break. - stay hydrated and have fun.

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

@kodiakcakes for the Win this morning 💯
Today I’m getting back on the macro train. Before having Liam I was counting macros and it helped with my nutrition tremendously. It’s flexible but also keeps me on track.
I’ve gotten very relaxed over the year when it comes to my nutrition. I lost haven’t put forth the extra effort in planning my meals. A lot has to do with having a very energetic toddler running around but I’ve got to make time and get it done! Time to take it back to the basics and have a goal to work towards.
This time around I had my macros professionally calculated and I’m actually glad to see that they were pretty close to what I had calculated as well. Makes me feel like I’ve got a pretty good grasp on this stuff.
Happy Monday, hope your day rocks!
Pro of having an online business: You can work whenever and wherever you want!
Dionna and I have been toying with the idea of selling the house after the kids move out and taking 4 months or so and doing a cross country road trip.
I have NO idea which way to go, RV or Towed trailer?? I know NOTHING about this stuff!!! Anyone have any insight???

Last week we introduced you to an awesome, total body exercise….. *The Turkish Get-Up*
To help you better implement the Get-up into your own workout, Coach Patrick Murphy (@murphyfitness_77 )will break down the movement into 3 steps, allowing you to master each portion of the movement individually, before combining them into one fluid motion…...The Get-Up
The Half Get-Up 💪🏼Lying on your back with a Kettlebell on your right side (start light), “roll” and use both hands to bring the bell to the chest and press it straight into the air (safety first!), locking out the arm overhead.
💪🏼With the left arm straight on the floor, pull the right foot close to your glutes. Now we are ready to move.
💪🏼Dig that right heel into the ground and roll across your shoulders, from right to left, while driving the bell straight into the air. Your eyes should be fixed on the bell at all times!!!!
💪🏼Strive to form a straight line from the left elbow (on the ground) all the way to the kettlebell that is now driven straight up. Left leg is straight and stays on the ground, do not let it move.
👌🏼Lower yourself by reversing the steps, under full control. Try not to drop to the floor
As you will see in this 3-part video, each individual step is a great exercise in itself, with the half get-up being a killer core and shoulder exercise. Stay tuned!! 🤷🏼♂️What exercises would you like to see our trainers break down and demonstrate for you?
Is a particular movement giving you trouble? Let us know in the comments below!
Another movement by some amazing students of strength. If this foursome is any indication, friends who train together have more fun!
Ryan is the king of the complex - a set of movements performed consecutively without parking your bell/load or without rest - combined with a step. At first, you may think what’s the big deal about the step? Well, it helps keep your mind focused on the work you are performing. It teaches you how to step properly. And, it helps you count down to the end of the complex. Ha!
