Back and shoulders are by far my favorite days to train (I do love legs however my knees determine when I can push them). Since I enjoys these so much they tend to stand out more than other areas. .

With a 40 hour a week job I've found that really listening to my body for training has been what's made the difference. .

If my body is extremely tired on a certain day of the week I will always choose back or shoulders as I truly enjoy training them and will still push myself. I than save chest, tris and bis for any days I'm feeling motivated and full of energy in order to get a productive workout from them. .
. 
So point being, working out doesn't have to be a chore even after work. Listen to your body and how it's feeling and just go with it. You will enjoy your workouts much more by doing what you want and not what you think you have to.

This week I would like to focus on RECOVERY. Exercising can be taxing on the body especially is you have any previous injuries or the older that you become. When we exercise we are overloading the joints and muscles which isn鈥檛 a bad thing but, you must take time to recover from your exercises. If you do not, you risk getting hurt or even burnt out from exercising in general. 
My favorite ways to recover from working out are: 馃挭馃従Yoga: it鈥檚 highly essential to stretch and increase your flexibility in order to prevent future injury. It鈥檚 not only beneficial for the body but also the mind! 馃挭馃従Baths: taking a hot Epsom salt bath with essential oils is not only relaxing mentally but it helps release lactic acid within the muscles after an intense workout or long distance cardio event. 馃挭馃従Foam Rolling: you鈥檝e probably seen people in the gym torturing themselves on a foam roller before. It looks crazy I know and it is uncomfortable depending on how tight your muscles are but it鈥檚 highly beneficial for releasing lactic acid deep within the muscle. The myofascial release is truly amazing in the end! 馃挭馃従Rest Days: YES you need rest days!!!! It鈥檒l help your body recover physically and prevent you from burnout.

This morning was a grind, it was hard to wake up at 5am and just get into the gym and then give it 110% during my workout. But that鈥檚 what you need to do because why even go if your not going to train like you are competing for the trophy 馃弳 ( aka your goals) I kept telling myself over and over I AM A CHAMPION, I AM A CHAMPION, I AM A CHAMPION!! That's why you should believe me when I tell you happiness is not a size. You can say the middle is 馃憣馃徎however I wasn't as happy and confident as I am now 馃檹馃徎. I feel mentally healthy and strong, at that point I was obsessed with what I eat ( wouldn't touch carbs) and afraid of not getting fat again.
