Never underestimate the power of the TOWEL! I sure don’t. I’ve been using a towel to get my crew to feel the burn for at least 6 years now in my dance and fitness classes. So one of my ladies loved one of my towel songs from Thursday’s class. She felt the burn, said she could do it at home safely, and asked me to share. Hence the share above❤️ ________________

My go-to breakfast since my 30-Day Challenge of October 2016 has been eggs with apple and peanut butter. No apples today... I opted for a tomato.

DAY SIX - 30 Day Challenge
Run fast for 20min! Had to laugh 😂 I mean we ran, all three of us ran....but I can’t honestly say we ran fast. In fact one of us may have been slower than the first run on Day 1 but then going for a run after a full day of school will probably do that to you! 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
So it may have been a slightly frustrating run as I’ve been looking forward to us all going out together again - especially after how well it went on Sunday - but you can’t win them all and we still ran for 25 min so job done and everyone is happy now! However having gotten rid of the after school grumps on the run, it means our munchkin is in a very chipper mood now!
Don’t you just love how exercise has the capability and the power to totally change your mindset and mood! I love it - the endorphins kick in and the feel-good factor starts to do its job!
Looking forward to the weekend now and even the rest of this afternoon of nag and whinge-free fun thanks to our run! 🤣🏃🏽♀️🤩
So if you love running why not inspire your little ones or your friends/loved ones to go out for an easy run with you - who knows you might just help them find a new exercise they love! One word of warning, if you are a runner — pack a bag of patience with you so you can stick with them without getting frustrated...in other words set your own expectations so that you and everyone with you enjoys the run together 🏃🏽♀️👍🏼😍! If you’re introducing non-runners to the fun & benefits of a run then you need to ensure it’s fun for all and start slow; build up over time!
I for one love our runs together but they don’t always leave me feeling like I’ve been for a run, so I will do my run with the munchkin as a warm up and then head out for a longer run (although there isn’t alway time for that and it is nice running with her 😍💕) or add a workout at the end - like today!
Another thing I’ve learnt from training - i am most definitely more of a morning runner. I can do workouts anytime of the day and although I can go for a run anytime too, going for a run first thing in the morning almost always makes for a better run 🏃🏽♀️

It’s 5am. I’m headed to the 5.30am spin class, before I head to the office! I know it’s early, but I had my 8 hours of sleep, some quiet time of reflection and journaling this morning, and I’m ready for my 45 min spin class.
I find morning workouts are easiest to fit into my schedule. 🔆
What schedule works for you?
What form of cardiovascular exercise do you enjoy?
Are you staying consistent with your routines?
And combining all that with a healthy, wholesome nutritious diet and drinking lots of water?

It’s Friday 🙌🏻 nearly 3 weeks into January - how are you doing with those New Years resolutions and fitness goals?
It got me thinking how many people around this time start to lose interest or motivation to stick to their new fitness regimes and I wonder if the reason may be because they dislike their training routine?
Let’s all clear something up before I go any further. If you do not enjoy your fitness routine, STOP and find something you enjoy! Fitness is not meant to be a chore or something you hate doing! Sure, some days might be a bit more of an “effort” than others, but if you literally despise it then please for your own mental well-being stop!
I absolutely hate running, so guess what I don’t run! Not even for the bus 🤣. I can see a tonne of reasons why someone might not like the gym, so guess what, join a netball team, start cycling, go to yoga. There are so many incredible fitness classes, groups, online training, home training, gyms etc available to us that we should all find something that we find enjoyable. This will not only mean you stick at your New regime but you will also have so many positive changes physical and mental.
