I’ve had to take a few steps back on my training and it’s killing me on the inside. However thankfully it wasn’t by force, it was due to a personal choice. It’s easier said than done, but we really need to have patience with our bodies. Especially those who are trying to lose weight or gain muscle- RESULTS ARE NOT OVER NIGHT!!! It takes TIME and CONSISTENCY. We can’t forget this ‼️ We also need to be grateful for the amazing work our bodies already do for us on a hourly Basis- like holy hell! Just a reminder to love your bodies! There is always room for improvement but no room for self hatred . OK?

Forgot to post last night's dinner. Broccoli beef. Found these low carb noodles (swipe) at Costco. I've tried other low carb ones and couldn't get past the smell. These don't smell or really taste. They took the taste of my sauce. Not ideal for soup, they get soggy, but not bad! I'll habe to try other recipes.

I used to feel so guilty about this and it would make me want to binge eat and not bother going to the gym the rest of the week - like oh it’s ruined now oh well. Truthfully I still battle with this. I’m learning to take one day at a time and not be so hard on myself. Listen to your body. Rest when it tells you to! Each day is new ✨
✖️When to 🛑 STOP 🛑 an active fat loss stage. ✖️Not everyone’s favorite thing to hear, but a very important topic
Now we understand that we all THINK we are Superman 🙅🏻♂️and Wonderwomen 🙆🏻 and can push our bodies to the limit. But sometimes you have to know when enough is enough. To be clear, just because you are stopping a fat loss stage, doesn’t mean the journey is over. On the contrary, you are actually allowing your journey to last longer by taking necessary diet breaks when needed so your body can physically continue.
So let’s discuss 💡 some signs you should keep a look out for when deciding when to take a break from dieting
1. When your calories are TOO low for TOO long
IF you are consuming anything as low as 8 calories per pound of bodyweight for longer than 2+ months, you likely are seeing a VERY slow change in body composition. Therefore, it’s time to 🛑 STOP! 🛑It’s time for a diet break yesterday!
2. When you have hit a plateau
Hitting a plateau is a good 👍🏻 indicator that it’s time for a diet break! Especially when you have taken all appropriate measures to break a plateau (decreasing calories, increasing exercise, decreasing stress, increasing sleep)
3. When you struggle to adhere to the program
Make sure you take a look 👀 at yesterday’s lesson for this one! STOP beating yourself up if you can’t adhere to the program. It may simply be time for a break.
4. When your quality of life is gone
IF you are completely low energy, grumpy to your kids and spouse and don’t even see your friends and family… Yea… It’s likely time for a break.
Don’t get us wrong! Being successful with your goals is ✖️NEVER easy ✖️ – in fact it shouldn’t be easy. But there has to be balance! Again, you need to know when enough is enough. Your body does a lot for you – give it the breaks it deserves! You won’t regret it

A little Throwback Thursday... April 30th, 2017. This was my first taste of setting a fitness goal & achieving it when I ran my first half marathon. I will always honor my fitness tribe @debijanefit & @lenhart56 for not only pushing me but making this the most FUN journey ever!! Most of us know how to stretch the hammies but how many of us work on contraction? Strong hammies are vital for explosive movements and lower back health, not to mention upping the game of your deadlifts, snatches and cleans.
