Day 27 - the penultimate day!! 🐚
First pic is the modification (which I was really pleased with as my back mobility seems to just get better and better) 🐚
The second post is my attempts at the actual pose - a wheel with one foot pointing to the ceiling and the hands holding the other foot. I didn't get close but I didn't expect to! 🐚
Third is the video of my first attempt at the pincha, I knew I could take it lower then so I did for the first photo (didn't come out of it quite as gracefully though!) 🐚
I think some of the days are going to be very hard but I'm just starting out on my yoga journey and have a long way to go. But one day I will look back at where I started and realise how far I've come. 🐚
Chocolate, raspberries and almond butter- the BEST combo!
Haven't had porridge for the last few mornings and was suffering withdrawal symptoms 😂 so back on it today!
2 more days till the weekend guys! Keep going 😊
This little guy right here.... if he only knew how much I love him and how much he teaches me EVERYDAY! I admire him greatly as he does not doubt himself, or his capabilities. If you ask him, he'll tell you,"I'm the fastest, bestest kid in the world." What I admire about this most is that he truly believes it. There is nothing he can't do, according to him.
When was the last time you felt or thought that? For me, it's been awhile... a long while. When did it happen? When did we stop believing in ourselves? Our capabilities? Oh boy what I wouldn't give to have his mindset.
I doubt myself daily with adjusting to my new lifestyle. I often feel like I'm operating on minimal power (lack of sleep and knowledge of what the day brings). I wonder if I'm doing this "mommy" thing right... could I be doing better. But the I look at this smiling face and realize to him, I'm the bestest mommy in the world. And that right there is enough for me to put my self doubts away.
Insanity: Max 30, Day 37 - Max Out Sweat w/ Ab Attack
Okay, so I've been posting tons of exercises, but it ESSENTIAL to always stretch after you workout! After every video there's always a cool down where we stretch. Flexibility is so very important in developing power, endurance and strength! Don't forget that. Hey, even if you aren't breaking a sweat like me, a nice stretch can do you wonders. Stretch people, ALWAYS STRETCH.
I woke up angry today! Angry at my #diabetes and just plain angry at the world! Sometimes the struggle seems impossible to tackle! Now I am someone who without exercise is just plain depressed and irritable so I know that the only answer is to either go for a run or hit up the gym! So I say this so easily but when you are fed up and tired the last thing that you want to do is workout! Trust me I know but it is literally the best thing that you can do! My mood is instantly uplifted and not to mention the physical benefits plus the sheer inkling of activity makes me eat better! Also for a #diabetic like me it also it improves my #bloodglucose overall! Now I actually like it when I wake up angry because that just means I am going to kick ass at my workout that day! #beastmode initiated! Never underestimate the therapeutic benefits of a workout! #fitnessjourney#diabeticandstrong#type1diabetes#type1diabetic#typeonediabetes#typeonediabetic
1 week until surgery day! 👙
With surgery around the corner you'd think that I would be eating better and training more. False... I've spent an excessive amount of time in bed eating tim tams and watching Netflix.
Y'know what's even better? I don't even feel guilty because exams are finally over and done with. 😅
