I want to share an experience I had this week with you: 
1st, I want to say that most everything I put on social media is meant to either inspire, relate to, or educate you.  I rarely put anything up that doesn’t add value to you, my follower.

2nd, I do my very best to walk the talk- I am extremely active, I move my body in some way, shape or form each and every day, unless rest is drastically needed.  My diet is 90% clean, high-quality foods, water is always my drink of choice, but I also enjoy cheeseburgers and my glass of wine, & there were 2 times this year, that I had a pretty good amount of tequila…

With that, I posted something of great controversy the other day on my personal page & inside a FB group I am in.

I gave my opinion, from my perspective, based on my research and knowledge, trying to help people see THE BEST and most ultimate results while using an IIFYM diet, 
because IN MY OPINION, waaaayyyy too many people try to use this diet as a DAILY excuse to eat shit food, rather than learning the skill self-discipline. 
Having balance isn’t a daily excuse, having balance means you are eating pretty damn well during the week, getting your workouts in and then when you go to your weekend outings you don’t have to have guilt around indulging because you have built the skills around self-discipline to get back to 100% the very next day. 
I had people telling me I am self-righteous, I had people telling me I shouldn’t tell other people what to do with their bodies and I was also told that I don’t know what the fuck I am talking about, on and on. 
It isn’t my job to convince you to like me, it isn’t my job to convince you to buy my services, it isn’t my job to convince you on why you should choose higher quality foods, it isn’t my job to prove myself to you, it isn’t my job to convince you on my personal mission in serving others, I don’t have to do that. 
My job is to step up and share my philosophies on training, my beliefs around nutrition, my job is to educate you to the best of my ability as to why you should treat the one and only vessel you have to live on this earth with the utmost respect possible.

Okay so...the last few weeks I've had NO time to take any progress photos let alone post any. But, today, I am exactly 7 months postpartum. Here is what I've noticed in my postpartum journey so far: ▪️I lost the majority of my pregnancy weight right in the beginning. Within 3 weeks, I was fitting into a size 8 dress (my belly was definitely NOT toned but I didn't look pregnant which was the main thing!) ▪️By 3 months postpartum, I was back to my pregnancy-pregnancy size, but still not at my old weight.
▪️At 5 months, I felt where I wanted to be! Still had a lot of muscle to regain, but I was happy. ▪️Now, at 7 months, I feel great. Obviously, my body will never be the same, but I am 100% happy with my post baby body! My muscles are better than before, but I still need to work on my booty (why are squats so hard?!). I'm still not going to the gym as much as I was before baby, but like I've said before, I do a lot of walking with baby in between gym days. I don't eat completely clean as I LOVE everything sweet that's bad for you (e.g. cookies, waffles), but life is all about balance and my dinners are as healthy as they can be, all the time, unless I get takeaway or go out for dinner (rarely do this). I also found out that my iPhone weighs 0.2kg. A fallacy that says, doing a certain exercise (like, for example, a tricep kick back) will burn the fat on that specific body part (like the back of your arms) and that's how you will get toned, defined, jacked, cut, firm, or whatever you wanna call it.

✅Here's the truth: there is not a single exercise -- not one -- that will burn fat on a specific part of your body. Your body chooses where and when it burns fat. And the ONLY way this will happen is if you're in a calorie deficit. Period. No if's, and's, or but's about it.

☝️Now, this does NOT mean you can't burn fat on your arms or hips or belly or whatever. It just means your body will decide -- after being in a calorie deficit for long enough -- where it loses fat and in what order.

Amira you are tougher than nails and you inspire me to work harder and to do my very best in the gym. There is no family better than having a gym family. Every time I workout with you, Sonya, and the rest of the gym crew I am able forget all my struggles and be able to leave all the negative things behind. You guys give me my happy moments until class is over then I lose the glass slipper and return back as a pumpkin at home. Going to the gym and being around such phenomenal people and positive vibes is better than most therapy.
