I’ve spoke a bit about it on my story yesterday but I wanted to talk to you all about it a little more.
This weekend I have felt sooooo guilty for not being able to make it to the gym but I have to remind myself that uni comes first!🎭 It’s not the end of the world if more important things take priority over your exercise every now and then!✨ __________
I have 2 deadlines fast approaching so they’ll be taking up the majority of time this week, but after that I’ll be back in the gym working just as hard as ever🏋🏼♀️ __________

I’ve come to realize that running and teaching are a lot alike 🏃🏼♀️🍎 You have good days and you have bad days and a lot of that is out of your control. How you RISE ABOVE those bad days and use them to grow is in your control.
This week I felt a lot of pain in various places on my body (welcome to marathon training ladies and gentlemen 👋🏼). However, I was able to power through as best as I could and I’m still putting in hard work EVERY SINGLE DAY 💪🏼

A journey in fitness is just as much a mental challenge as is physical. I think we focus so much on the physical we forget about the mental. I always found that the stronger I got physically the stronger I became mentally. I'm always at my happiest when I'm working out consistently, why?
Fitness teaches you discipline, consistency, dedication, and helps you to deal with stress and emotions. After every workout I work out my mind just as much as my body, it's all connected. You can challenge your body but it's your mind that you have to conquer 🙏

The adrenaline rush a rugby player experiences whilst making a tackle is in my opinion at par with any heart rate maximising activity on planet earth. Not only does one have to be extremely powerful in their core and mind, but also have to be fearless to take on any sized opposition 🔥🔥 .
Depicted in the video is a tackle station workshop. Through a series of manned and unmanned opponents the athlete must drive back the opposition as far as possible. Exhausting, strenuous and high energy consuming workout. 🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️ This is how you keep yourself #rugbyfit .

Unsure exactly when this was but safe to say a few years ago. Looking like a dam giant for some reason...i think i appear taller when im skinnier 😅
No idea about the weight i was here or the weight on the bar. But i know for sure i was in a poor gym, trying to make the most of it as best i could 😂
I also remember this was one of the first few times i attempted deadlifts. Had tried them before this but not many times and definitely not consistently. My form....was dam awful 😂😂like happened in two halves. First my hips went up then i bent the rest of my body up.
Tbh i don't tend to deadlift still to this day but my form majorly improved once i knew how to actually do it right 🙃
Just going back over my progress pics on my phone (of which i have 2065😅) its great to see all these different stages i have been at. And it's crazy sometimes to look and think dam...i looked good. But at the time you didn't think much of it 🤷🏻♂️

Did a million sets with 365 today to work on fixing my form up a bit. Always have to do this after every 2-3 month period because things always shift a bit out of place as the focus becomes moving more weight instead of keeping perfect form. Trying to get everything as neutral as possible by tucking my lats and “bending the bar” better with tips from @jacob.w.ross. Thanks brah 👊

Last night was so interesting and amazing for me! I went to Bristol Old Vic to watch Gecko’s The Wedding (absolutely outstanding and such a powerful piece, I highly recommend anyone to see it even if you aren’t that into theatre!!!) and honestly this performance lit a fire in me that has t been burning for a while!
I absolutely love performing and have always wanted a career in it however the last year or so I started to drift from the idea, not because I stopped enjoying it or anything there wasn’t really anything I could particularly pin point but it’s just how I was feeling and so I started to look into going into the business side of theatre. Which again, business and business management is always something I’ve very much enjoyed and I’d still be involved in theatre so that was fine🤗
Last night however, that performance was so phenomenal, powerful and well rehearsed, both physically and technically that is just reminded me of why I started this degree in the first place 💖🖤 _________
So if any of the performers or the artistic/musical director are reading this for what ever reason, thank you!✨ Thank you so much because you managed to spark my love and passion for performing again when no one else has been able to!🎭 ___________
lol sorry if you’re reading this thinking you really don’t care cause where’s the fitness?! But theatre, drama, dance and all elements of performing are a huge part of my life too😏

Both of these are 35kg dumbbells. Now this is not the clearest picture to see what i am trying to show and it is deffo worse in real life....but one dumbbell is fine and one has been quite badly bent out of shape. -
How does this even happen? The only way i can imagine it happened, is from dumb dumbs chucking the dumbbells. We have all seen them do it...the ego lifters, the grunters, the complete assholes 😂 -
Regardless of the state, i had to use these today as it was the only 35kg set i could see. Obviously it caused a bit of an imbalance in my hand when i was performing the reps as it was kinda all over the place. But do you know what i did after each set? I used control and gently placed the weights down on the floor....and do you know what else i did after i finished with them? I actually put them back on the rack 😧😧😧 Not in the correct place mind you cos nobody ever seems to put them back where they belong, so i had to use the space that was available 🙃adding to the problem further but im not about to re-organise the racks of dumbbells mid workout lol.
Think everyone that signs up to the gym should have an induction in to 'putting weights back and not being a complete dick chucking them about' -
But anyway, today has been a good day, and that my friends, concludes day 18/365 😇
