Have you tried cauliflower fried rice? Instead of rice you use riced cauliflower. It is easy to use a food processor to rice a head of cauliflower, but I have been seeing bags of already riced cauliflower in the produce section of many grocery stores. Which is even easier!! I'm on the road to teach this weekend and am proud that I got myself to the gym this morning. What's fun is that I went to the same gym where I had my very first personal training job 20 years ago!
During my athletic career, training was always a priority, and I'd always structure my schedule around my training when traveling.
Since I retired and wasn't training much the last few years, I never worried about trying to fit it in when I was on the road. And I travel quite a bit!
However, with this re-set, I'm determined to get back to a training and active lifestyle - without making it a crazy obsession.
I'm back in the Chicago area to teach this weekend and made it over to the gym early this morning! I pulled out the ropes and played with some new movements - this plank side arm raise was awesome! Everything was working! Also fun to play 😊
Started my day with an hour of #yinyoga followed by a 90 minute massage @athleteschoicemassage with the wonderful Laura, and then I decided to #skipcostco and go for a walk through our neighbourhood with the hubs 😊
Not bad for a Saturday morning! I hoped the #yinyoga would help so Laura wouldn't have to work so hard on my body ... but it was still work! She's a champ!!! She "released" my glutes 🍑 and my neck and made everything else feels great! Now for the rest of my day! 😊
I've been so tired. Woke up late today. Didn't want to workout. But hubby and a fellow coach pushed me to get it done. Halfway through workout one the mail person dropped these on the porch. I wouldn't go get it til I finished. My little incentive😊. Finished workout and did core work. Now to open my presents!

I'd be lying to you if I said today's workout was great. The truth is today's workout SUCKED ASS! But some days are like that. Feeling sluggish, achy, and like I wanted to quit was the theme today. This will pass too but you need to know it happens! The good thing is that I have my accountability team to go back to & share this struggle. They will encourage me & I will encourage them & WE will move forward to overcome these types of obstacles.
In the past I would have just quit and said "not today...my head & heart isn't it it" but now I say "Push through it! You've got this! You've done this workout & ones tougher than this! Move of the day- Curl squat thrust. - Choose a set of dumbbells that will challenge you and allow you to maintain good form. - Start with your feet slightly more than shoulder width apart and the weights by your side. - Curl the weights up to your shoulders and rotate them 90 degrees. - With the weights still there, squat as low as possible. - When you come up from the squat, extend your arms straight above head.
Do 3 sets of 10. Have a good weekend!
After my double workouts this morning, I was STARVING!
