I am so freaking proud of myself for getting this far. Only one more week to complete round one. I have loved absolutely every step of this process. Even on days when I couldn't walk and stand up without crouching from sore muscles. Like this week. 😏
This week's #sweatieselfie goes to my foam roller. I've had several sessions with it after doing my jump lunges correctly. Everyone in the house knows not to touch me from my waist to my knees. I even tossed my cat at my husband for joking about it, like it was funny. It was either that or my phone. And, I like my phone. Sorry, cats are buttholes.
Today I spent so much time outside, it was a great day. I felt rejuvenated just from having wonderful weather and being out in the sun. Perfect. •

A big shout out to our boy Isaac Higgins who has been playing a significant role in the Undefeated efforts, of South Australia's U15 Cricket Team! Shortly after having a broken foot, Isaac conducted some sessions at PEAQ in order to improve running technique and efficiency (you may have seen a video of him and his brother training with us). Today was supposed to be #pilatesfixextreme from #21dfx but when it snows, that means shoveling. It was a little extra heavy so it was great core, shoulders, biceps, and legs workout. 407 calorie burn. But my knees have been Killin me this week. If it's from the changing weather I'm not sure. But ouch ouch. Back at it in the morning.

_ She e-mailed me today sharing me her very, very long eloquent story and asking for my help. An emotional story to say the least that left me heartbroken when I read it. To be concise, she had some complications at birth that causes her to have serious stomach pain, chronic constipation and difficult keeping food down. _ Due to the narrow-mindedness of the doctors she saw, she was wrongfully accused of being anorexic and admitted to an eating disorder clinic when had no poor relationship with her body image or food. After going through the motions to please everyone she within recent years started having regurgitation episodes where she spent 12 hours a day for 18 months in a eating/regurgitation cycle. Even after eating 30,000 calories, she couldn’t keep 95% of her food down no matter how much she ate and was severely malnourished as a result. _ After seeing 40 doctors & 12 years of chronic pain and agony, she was diagnosed with superior mesenteric artery syndrome which is essentially compression of her small intestine disabling her to digest food. After refusing surgery and a feeding tube, her prognosis was looking bleak as her body was not holding up any longer. She has since improved, but not out of the woods due to discovering a competent doctor and ironically, doesn’t really have SMA but that’s besides the point. _ Her situation is rare, but my message is this. She suffered for years due to ignorant docs who stick to their bias and cover their ears - this is not uncommon, unfortunately and for me its very infuriating. She’s an amazing spirit and inspiration to me, and I hope to you. She is incredibly resilient and I applaud her in her conviction and resolve. _ Let her also remind you that you can continue to judge and hate your body, because you have some minor stomach distension, absence of morning abs, or traces of cellulite, but have a different perspective for once.

I've mention before how I have been reading up on supplements and learning more and more. I've read that it is good to have Protein before bed, now.. not just any random type of protein. You have to choose the right kind of protein! There are many reasons why Protein is good before bed, one is: amino acids, which are obtained through eating protein, are the raw materials that muscle tissue is built from. If no amino acids are available for use, your body can’t build any muscle. This is why research has shown that, if protein isn’t eaten before bed, protein synthesis rates are quite low when we sleep.
You want a lean protein that isn't full of sugars or fillers.
Make sure whatever you have before bed fits into your daily calories. (Don't go over your daily intake just to get the protein before bed, plan ahead)
I took some @1stphorm Level-1 (cinnamon cookie batter) and mixed with just a little bit of almond milk to make a soft ice cream like texture. I then put in freezer for about 30 minutes. Took out and stirred then indulged in a flavorful bedtime snack that I don't feel guilty about!
I paired it with a little night time reading to also work out my brain. I've learned that I need to work out one of my most important parts of my body. Reading is a great habit to get into. I am definitely not a fan of reading but I'm working on it! *

my meals in the last 2 weeks of this challenge have included #cheese multiple times a day. this still blows my mind! responding to higher fat macros has been an awesome experience. cooking in #butter , adding oily dressing to salads, smashing cream cheese with smoked salmon, even eating fattier cuts of meat (hello grassfed, goodbye over expensive-tasteless 5 star lean meats). Reverse dieting is going to be fun, because I plan to take the fat macros higher!
It took us a loooonngggg time. We will be honest. BUT as of late this girl @paigelouise101 started to give in to my constant harping on her back and started to practice and learn how to track and be organised properly and efficiently. The results are finally SHOWING. We've got measurements and photos to take this progress is what we've got to show for now😍😍😍
