Had a great time bagging La Plata with these two goofballs. Gritting our teeth through 45 to 70 mph gusts of wind the last two miles of ridgeline, we summited and made our way down to some hot springs to soak in our success. Makes number 30 in 14ers for me in the last two years! -

#backinthegame Nach fast sechs Wochen Zwangspause, heute das erste Mal wieder Laufen gewesen. Dieses Mal habe ich mich wirklich an die Laufpause gehalten und die knapp 7km gingen heute dafür schon relativ gut. Nun mal gucken, wie es weitergeht. Wettkämpfe sind in naher Zukunft erstmal nicht geplant, von daher kann ich es auch ruhig angehen lassen. Trotzdem tut es weh, wenn man weiß, wie fit man vor der Pause war, wie einfach alles ging und nun quält man sich bei so einem Lauf! #keeponfighting #run #running #runner

Tonight's workout: •warmup- ball slams, lateral band step outs, glute band kick backs (10 reps x 3 rounds) •single arm snatch (5 reps/per arm x 5 rounds) •moving push ups (10 x 5 rounds) •bike- 5 minutes total- level 4, 30 seconds @+100 rpm, level 8, 30 seconds @+80 rpm. Repeat + alternate until you reach 5 minutes •incline alternating dumbbell press (8/arm x 5 rounds) •single arm landline deadlift (10/leg x 5 rounds) •TRX inverted row (10-15 x 5 rounds) •tricep band pulldowns (10-15 x 5 rounds) •core work

CUIDA TU SALUD Y TU CUERPO

La actividad física es fundamental para que tu cuerpo este saludable. contamos con un concepto de 80%nutricion 20% ejercicio. Yo pienso que debemos agregarle a esta formula un poco de voluntad y una pizca de actitud. Quieres comenzar a hacer ejercicio pero no sabes como, cuanto, cuando, que hacer antes, durante y después? I was looking forward to this day since the start of this challenge. I have a love hate relationship with push-ups; I love them and hate the fact I can only manage a few proper ones before my form collapses. So once again, I did these on my knees to keep proper form and they were still tough. Who knew back-up data tapes were so handy? 😂😂😂 .

☹️ NO for Days 10 and 12 of #14DayCalisthenics . I looked up the P bar raises, but what I found was different from these and apparently I used up all my creative thinking trying to figure out how to do the horizontal rows with no bar. That said, I also knew it would be much harder to hold myself up using only my hands so I waited to use the work gym which has this handy L Sit Raise machine where you use your forearms. Really not much easier when you're new to these movements, but the modifications are still hard and a great workout for me. Chin ups were a no-go almost from the beginning. I really need to stop psyching myself out. My arms were/are still tired and a little shaky and the chin-up hand position feels so awkward. Definitely one to revisit. I love that my bud @a1__diego is always willing to share in the calisthenics fun with me ❤️. Burpees are on deck for me, later today. .

When @beastonthebay asks for your after pic, the after pic is what u give! 2 years ago I said "I could never do that." Last year, I went but watched from the sideline. But THIS year I said "🖕🏼🖕🏼 I'm doing that!!!" AND I DID-- with 2 of my favorite people to laugh with & encourage each other for the entire 10 miles & 3 hours of challenges! I haven't ran in a year. I haven't even trained specifically for this race. I have trained though to be a healthier & stronger me! This has nothing to do with my physical change but everything to do with my change in belief! The belief that whatever my brain says I can't do, I actually can. The belief that when doubt creeps in you kick it in the face 👊🏼. The belief that when you surround yourself with good people, good thoughts, and good energy only GOOD things come your way! 💕 Believe you can and you will! I CAN DO HARD THINGS! I got my gym pass on Sunday and went today for my first spin class in months. Wooo! Still trying to figure out the whole gym mirror selfie thing, but I just noticed that impressive sweat stain on my shirt so let's focus on that instead of my face.
